When he got there, he looked at the pump and decided that it was not working correctly. He touched the handle of the multiport valve that you use to backwash the system. It is floppy, so he decided it was broken without even trying to use it. (It does work, though not as well as I would like.) He asked when the system was last backwashed, and I told him it was due to be done again. He mentioned that I had new panels on my roof for the solar pool heater, although I could not see what this had to do with the pool sweeps (other than the fact that they were leaking and possibly losing a tiny amount of pressure). I told him that it was not working as it should and that someone was coming out to fix it. His helper went up on the roof and said it was hooked up all wrong, in addition to the fact that it was leaking (which I knew). He glanced at the bottom of the pool, which I had left uncleaned so that he could see what the sweeps were not doing. He told me to get everything fixed and then call him back. I did so. It happens that nothing was wrong with the way the solar heater panels were hooked up. They fixed the leak and repaired the wires that hook the valves to the control box. It works fine now. I was able to backwash the filter myself. When I called back, I left a message. The message on the answering machine said that I would be called back that day . No call. I ended up leaving messages for 3 days before I finally got him to answer the phone. I tried to tell him who I was and that I was ready for him to come out and fix the pool sweeps, and he hung up on me. Evidently, he doesn't want to work on this system anymore. He was just too chicken to say so.
Description of Work: He came out to figure out why the pop-up pool sweeps in the bottom of the pool don't rotate like they are supposed to. He worked on this problem several years ago, rebuilding the gear box to fix it.
