Cook's Air Conditioning & Heating - Ocala

Choose another company. The worst customer service. No care. Incompetent technicians. Our Commercial AC unit, that Cooks installed, went bad a week out of warranty. The tenant is a Daycare so we had no choice but to replace because we couldn't wait an indefinite amount of time for a part. After assuring me they could install a new unit in time for school to open, I pulled the trigger on a quote Cook's. Days later, Cook's said they couldn't get me up and running in time unless I went with a more expensive unit than the one originally quoted me. I had no choice but to agree, as I had no options at that late date. Cooks installed the new more expensive unit and left the site without confirming it worked. The unit was NOT working. I literally had to beg to get them back out, as Manager Mikala was too busy with new work to bother finishing my job. I finally persuaded her to send someone and the tech they finally sent said "it's working, but because it's an efficient unit, it will take several days to cool the space", which is obvious BS. I once again had to beg to get someone else out, someone competent. They finally sent another tech who said it was the duct work. The Cook's quote that was provided to me literally says, they check all duct work as part of the new install service, but obviously not. Then days after thinking i'm in line to get the duct fixed, i'm told by the Manager, "We don't do Commercial repair work" and that i'm not scheduled for repair. Worse than that, this is for a Daycare in August and Cook's didn't even bother to call and tell me they had decided not to do the work...... Absolutely crazy. They installed two commercial units for us, but can't repair their own work. I was able to get another company out to save the day, and their tech, who was very knowledgeable and friendly, informed me that the work performed by, presumably Cook's, was a total hack job. Stay away.

Cook’s installed a new unit 3 years ago for us. Called number on the unit last night when our air stopped worked. No call back. Called again in an hour nothing again. Called twice this morning and no call back. Called Ocala office can’t come until Saturday. We will be without air for 3 days? You advertise 24/7 emergency support and service? Will never use Cook’s again!

Very impressed! Chris called about 20 minutes ahead to let me know he was close. He was polite and professional, did the service and answered all my questions. I was so impressed I joined their Gold Club, and I'm not easily impressed. Chris takes pride in his work and likes what he does. Would definitely hire again!

terrible. Had missing parts, will be back after having to order, told wrong again. had problem with unit shortly after install, had no air (it was august) called 24 hour emergency service and was told can't be there for 3 days. called another company who then proceeded to fix collapsed duct work installed by Cook's. Hated to pay again, but was so ******, did not care, they will never come on property again. Took forever for paperwork for the inspection also. Seriously overpriced con artists

It went terrible he is a scam artist. BEWARD!!!!!!!!!! He got his money and ran, when we tired to negotiate a different deal because we couldn't afford the solar panels he wanted to install, he told us he would work with us but then told us that it was ours we owned it, this was after it caught our house on fire. He never would give us an itemized state of what every thing cost so we could pay him for the service he had done.

It is $85 just for them to come on their call. That is their service call charge. All of their conditioning people are approximately the same cost. I bought my air conditioner unit from them a little over four years ago and it is still working good. They were here on time. They were very prompt. I called and they were out the same I day I called them. The gentleman who came out was courteous. He did the inspection and told me it was okay so I did not need any parts or anything. It was good service.
