For some time we have had a small leak over our guest bathroom. We assumed it was around a vent pipe and my husband had tried to fix it himself. (His repair lasted about 2 years.) Then we had some plumbing work done which required auguring down the roof vent pipe. In the process the ladder the plumber used damaged the edges of some shingles. A friend recommended Bruce Parrish so we gave him a call. Bruce thought we might actually have leaks around two vent pipes near the bathroom and the shingle repair was no problem.
Bruce is semi-retired and he does one or two small jobs a day so he told us it might be up to 2 weeks before he got to our repair. We were not in a hurry, so we hired Bruce for the job. As promised a couple of weeks later Bruce called and set an appointment for the next day. He showed as promised and worked for about 2-3 hours on our roof. He sealed the area around both vent pipes and then covered the sealant with roofing crystals to make it less visible. Then he moved onto the damaged shingles. As luck would have it, Bruce happened to have an exact match for our shingle in his spare shingle collection. So instead of repairing the broken edges of the damaged shingles he was able to replace them with brand new.
The finished work looks great and the leak has not reappeared.
