Overall, we were very pleased with Bowles Roofing which is a family-run business in Ocala, FL. Chase, our salesman, answered all our questions and was responsive to our phone calls. Ed kept his efficient roofing crew of four on track and ensured a thorough clean-up each day of nails and debris. However, the lack of coordination for sealing a gutter leak resulted in a completion delay. Only downside of the roofing project involved the (Beacon) truck driver that delivered the shingles to our home. The driver did not fully stay on the concrete driveway and caused an 8.5 foot section to break off. Woody (Beacon) did attempt to get repair estimates but, after three weeks, only one ridiculous estimate was received. At that point, I was able to locate a concrete contractor and the driveway was repaired within a few days. Beacon’s check is “in the mail” as of this review. It was considerate of Bowles Roofing not to collect payment on their roofing job until Beacon made good on their promise to restore our driveway (3-week delay) to its original condition. BOTTOM LINE: Bowles Roofing did an excellent job on our re-roof project.

They did a great job work was done faster then I thought it would take , and cleaned up when they were done very happy with the job they did would use them again.

Crews were on time and did a quick and professional job. I would hire them again.

I called Bowles Roofing and Scott Stokely came out the next day to provide an estimate.  I explained that the house belonged to my wife's parents who are both in their 80s and no longer able to conduct their own affairs and were strapped financially as they only had their monthly social security for income.  I asked Scott to only do what was absolutely necessary to fix the leaks as I wasn't too concerned about how it looked as long as it no longer leaked.  He was very thorough in his examination of the roof and provided his estimate to me via an email attachment the following morning.  Due to all the recent rain, Bowles Roofing, along with just about every other roofing company in Marion County, was backed up with jobs and it wasn't until about a week and a half later that they were able to begin work.  Scott showed up with Lenny who actually performed the repairs and Scott showed him exactly what and where the problems were and how he wanted it to be fixed.  Lenny worked tirelessly all day in the hot sun and finished the repairs by 5:30pm that same day.  I watched him all day long and was truly impressed with his work ethic.  Every step in the repair process was performed to the highest standard and it was very evident that Lenny took great pride in his work and only the best would satisfy him.  What further impressed me with Bowles Roofing was when they discovered that no wood needed replacement, they reduced the bill voluntarily by $50, without me ever asking them to do it!
Every phase of getting this problem fixed for my in-laws went smoothly, from the first phone call to when I thanked Lenny for his hard work at the end of the job.  Everyone, Scott, Lenny and the woman in the office, was friendly, competent and professional.  I would heartily recommend Bowles Roofing to anyone looking for roof repairs or re-roofing.  They do fantastic work at a very reasonable price.

After a week no one had called me back...for whatever reason my request for an estimate was totally ignored. I called Bowles again ( HATE having to call back to chase after a company to take my money!)...the same girl answered (I think). She had no record of my name, the job or request for an estimate. She said that ...and quot;an appointment for an estimate should have been made at the time of my call and she couldn't understand why that was not done...and quot; She did say that...and quot;that may have been my first day on the job...and quot; and that she had not been at Bowles very long. My phone log show the call to Bowles was March 25 at 11:38 AM. I suggest that a company that is so lax and unprofessional as to not even respond to a request for an extimate (possible involving a lot of money!) is NOT a roofing company you want to entrust with something as important as your home roof! I have since called another roofer who contacted me and set a convenient appointment the same day....and actually seemed to WANT my business!

I think the wife answered the call. She set an appt to give an estimate a few days later. I had had a prior estimate for the same job which was higher (also rated A from Angie's List). Obviously I went with the lower estimate. I think the wife called again to inform me that Don will be coming on a date approx 10 days from the estimate and will do the job, which is what he did. Everything went smoothly without a hitch. No problems recommending him and the company to our members.

Smooth, on time erery day (done in stages). Very pleased-- NO leaks. they installed a new roof for me in 2007. Recommended to others..

They came, they fix it they left, I paid.

Marty Nevitt, from Bowles Roofing came out to my house in December, wrote up an estimate with a discount attached due to me contacting them through Angie's List. The price for the roof was best I received out of four different companies.
Every thing went according to schedule. The crew was polite and professional. Clean-up was very well done.
I highly recommend this company.

He was excellent. The people who came over were very good. They were businesslike and they didn't waste any time. We were very pleased by the service we received. They finished the work in two or three days.

He was the lowest bidder. He was good. The work looks good to me. Everything was fine.
