B & B Gateworks

Original installation went well.  The gate opener worked for about 2 weeks until the batteries ran down.  Batteriies charged with existing solar panels.  Contacted B&B who informed me of the sunlight requirements for the control board, which my panel siting did not meet due to shading.   I charged the batteries with an external power supply and operator still did not work.  It gave an 'obstruction' error, which I could see was not the problem.  I was convinced the control board was malfunctioning and informed B&B.  They would not come out and even look at the board until I corrected the solar panel siting to comply with the sunlight requirements.  I called another company, who came out, replaced the control board (under warranty), and helped me figure out how to get power to the gate.  A couple weeks later, after I got AC to the gate location,  the other company put a charging transformer at the gate and it has been working flawlessly since.  This is something B&B could have done, but refused to come out and help solve the problem.
