Automasters of Ocala

I took my truck to Automasters of Ocala the first time on 02/13/18 to have the a/c fixed as it was no longer blowing cold air. On that visit following their inspection I was told it was leaking at the two ports and the low pressure switch. All three needed replacement and they recommended the dryer also be replaced due to the age of the vehicle. I agreed and the bill came to $437. After arriving home I checked under the hood and I could tell the dryer hadn't been replaced although I had been charged for the part as well as for its installation. When I called they admitted their error, saying they had the part, it was there but there was some miscommunication and it didn't get put on. I made an appointment for the following day when they replaced the dryer. Since I live 25 miles from Automasters, it was a 50 mile roundtrip and another half day of my time due to their error but no offer of compensation was made. Six weeks later my a/c was doing the same thing as it was when I brought it in to them the first time. This time they found a leak in the condenser which they claim wasn't there the first time around so I told them to go ahead and replace it. While I had my truck in their shop I also asked them to look at the code for my check engine light which indicated a problem with the evaporative system vent solenoid. I was told by James, the write up guy, that the solenoid and canister came both as a package and it would cost me $144 to replace. I told him to go ahead. My final bill came to $626.90. When I got home I crawled under the truck and could see that the canister had not been replaced. When I looked at the bill I found that I had not been charged for a canister, only the solenoid but was never informed that they were only replacing the solenoid and not the canister as well. I also discovered as well once I got home that my parking light assembly was hanging out the front of my truck as it had not be properly replaced when they removed it during the installation of the condenser. There was greasy foot imprints on the carpet of the passenger side of the transmission tunnel which required considerable effort with Resolve to remove. There was also a stream of yellow liquid running down the left front fender that I have no idea what that was but it wiped off with no damage to the paint. I did call and talk to the boss who apologized and said he would take steps to try to alleviate the problems I experienced.

Very timely service. Explained issues very clearly. Had it ready when promised. Somewhat expensive, but no more than most other shops would charge. After the work was done, there was still a smell of burnt antifreeze which could have been washed off, but it disappeared after a couple of days. Overall, very professional and polite. Didn't try to pressure me into anything I didn't need.

They were going to order the motor and call when it came in. About an hour later I received a call from them stating that they called to order the part and was told that I should call the dealer to see if my car was still under warranty. Since I had the car going on 4 years I did not believe it was under warranty. Well it so happened that the part was and that saved me $800. I paid for extensive diagnostics. Very honest people. Will definitely use them again!

Good. I had an appointment and I had to wait longer than I expected, but not as long as I would have if I didn't have an appt. The work was done well and not too long to finish. One thing I did like was no upselling. I probably won't use this again because they are located too far from my home.

Well, folks, after searching and searching the Ocala area for an independent garage to service my two vehicles, today I thought I had died and gone to Heaven! The exceptionally capable staff beginning with Sam Craddock the Service Writer, to Tom Cairnes the Manager, and ultimately to Kevin Craddock the Owner; these guys at AutoMasters are honest, knowledgeable, friendly, affordable, and most of all RESPECTFUL to their customers. I won't go into all that was done to my vehicle, but wanted to assure anyone out there at their wits end trying to find a safe haven for service and repair to their auto, please think of giving AutoMasters a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

To say I brought them the 2002 Kia Sedona from h*** is an understatement. I purchased the vehicle back in November of 2015 on EBAY and was told it was in great shape and ran super (I won't do that again).
 Shortly after getting it I had to bring it to this amazing team as it wasn't running right. Each time they performed service it was done quickly, professionally, at a great price and I can't say enough about this whole team and their work. I believe I must have brought it back with a new issue maybe 5 or 6 times over the last 3 months. If I had known everything that would go bad I may have just junked it but once you start putting money into a vehicle it's either go all in or nothing. It's a 2002 with only 81000 miles, a great body and interior so it was worth it.
 Each time I got my van back it ran good for a few days then died again. First it was the timing belt, then the plugs and wires, then the catalytic converts, then radiator hoses etc (to many items to spend the time explaining). There's no doubt in my mind about each item they repaired as I knew how it was running and know a bit about cars I just don't have the time to do it myself.  
   As soon as i would call they had the vehicle back in and within a few hours called me to explain what was going on, provide me with a great low cost quote and ask what I wanted to do. As I said this went on for months, as soon as they fixed something I'd drive it for awhile and something else would go. I thinking maybe the previous owner either beat this vehicle or sunk it in a river.
   I would absolutely recommend AUTOMASTERS and the entire team to anyone needing a high quality repair at a reasonable price. Thank you all again for putting up with this vehicle and never giving up, you all went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.

It took a lot longer than I expected. a/c works but not as good as it should. It cools from 60 to about 65 but when I set it to about 68 it cools less then it should.

Good work. I've taken my vehicles to Automasters for 20 years now. Even since Jim retired.

They were great, professional. I really liked them . They are a little far but I don't mind the drive to go to a good shop.  I also called to ask them a service question today and
they were very helpful  - I'm sure they were busy but they still took
the time. I will definitely be bringing my other car in to them.   Meant
to do a review back in may but time got away from me.

Appointment time was at 8:00 AM.

I got to the service center about 7:45AM.

They had my truck inside and start to checkout the problem right away.

I was told the problem and giving a total cost to complete the required repairs.

The job was completed before 11:00AM, under 3hrs.

Very good job, I'm very happy with the workmanship.

Would used this service center again, if repairs were needed.
