Horrible customer service. AquaBuddy Pool Service in Fort Lauderdale says they show up but you have to physically see them to make sure you're pool is cleaned. Twice in only two months the company said they showed up and charged us even though I was home this entire time. Also, there is never communication with this company. The manager sounds friendly but if you ask for a specific request, like, asking the cleaner a question on the pump, you won't get help.

Unfortunately, Aqua Buddy’s customer service is really really really really really!! terrible. So we ended our service. We now do the pool cleaning ourselves and couldn’t be happier. Saving the money and the aggravation of dealing with this company. There do not offer online payment service, so you need to call or mail them a check. Almost no one does checks anymore and good luck trying to get them to answer the phone. I called them right after Hurricane Irma to check when would I be able to get service - the first thing they said was that I needed to pay up my account or I would get no service. I ended the service right there. I would not recommend this provider to any one.

Three weeks ago, noticed the pool water level was going down.  The cleaning technician never said a word about it.  I explored and found the pump housing was leaking.  When I went to diagnose I noted that the screws we tighten so severely that vice grips were required to free.  I called Aqua Buddy service.  They came out and said they repaired.  The next day is leaked again.  I called them back and the next repairman said that the pump and housing could not be repaired and needed to be replaced at $700+.  Aqua Buddy had installed the current unit a year or so earlier.  I discontinued the service, not trusting them and convinced that their technician was the one who broke it and tightened it so tight to try and blow it past me.

I asked Ike's Carter Pools to come look at it.  They confirmed that the housing had split and needed to be replaced.  They noted that it had likely split because the O Rings were improperly installed when originally installed ( by Aqua Buddy). They noted that is was rare for housings to split.  They also noted that since my pump was almost new and working fine it did not need to be replaced.  I had the repair done for $500.

Beware of Aqua Buddy repair.  They improperly installed my pump and housing, caused it to split and then tried to get me to buy a new pump when the current one works just fine.  My experience is they "try you on" with repairs and the cleaning technician that we had was oblivious to changes in pool conditions.  I don't trust these people and would not use them again.

I left a message Wednesday morning, October 9, requesting a call to schedule a service appointment. Three days later there has been no response. This is probably the 10th time I have left a message at the office for one thing or another (previous service, a billing issue) and never once have I received a call-back. Usually I just keep trying, every few hours and over several days, until someone actually answers the phone. This time I am checking Angie's list for alternatives and will call another company. I have been mostly satisfied with the work performed (with the exception of a pool heater repair last spring, when the tech kept disappearing without explaining what was going on and leaving a gate wide open), and am comfortable with the weekly service. But I am frustrated with the office's refusal (inability?) to ever return a call.

Aqua Buddy Pool Service are terrible and I don't like them. I have been with them a long time and I have talked to them and they are really nice but their man just doesn't do a good job. The last time I asked him when he cleaned the filter and he said it was done about 4-5 weeks prior so I told him to clean it but he said it wasn't needed. I actually told them to buy a new one and I sent them a picture of my old one and it was dirty and it was black. It was filthy. They don't clean the filter of the pool and I have a very deep pool it is 8feet deep and they don't check the chemicals. The guy does not brush the pool down, he doesn't even vacuum the pool. They guy came yesterday and he didn't even take his equipment off of his truck before that and I took a picture of that and he saw me taking a picture of that. The only thing he had was the thing to clean the tiles around the top of the pool so he cleaned the tiles and then he used the net to skim off the top of the pool and then he put in a gallon of chemical and I went out there and he dropped it. I asked him what that was and he said he was testing the pool and the chemical was bright red and it stayed in the pool forever and it just stayed a line. When I asked the other company about that, they said that was bad news because the chemicals in my pool are not balanced and my pool has green stuff all over it. He went and got his brush because I went out there and brushed the pool. He comes every Wednesday and this Wednesday he didn't brush it, he just skimmed the top and didn't clean the filter. They charge $75 per month and they are bringing it up to $80 a month without informing me. I am looking for someone else. The guy who is coming out now is supposed to be their best guy. He doesn't speak English and when I asked him what he was doing, he said that he knows what he is doing because he has been doing it for a long time. I have talked to the company many times and they apologized. The lady on the phone is very nice and apologetic. It would have been fine for me to pay extra if I was getting the service. I also pay extra per year for the stabilizer. He comes every Wednesday and he is pretty good on time although he doesn't do anything.
