JVR Ingrasci Impact Windows & Doors

I wouldn't work with this company again if they gave the windows away for free. It took them five tries to install the five largest windows to code. I tried to cut bait and replace them with a qualified company after three attempts and a failed city inspection, but they threatened to put a lien on my home and pursue foreclosure. I lost vacation days and weekends meeting their teams time after time. No apology. No discount. They were terrible people to deal with. Stay far away.

Let me start by saying that I went with JVR based on a fair price and previous friends who used them and I have even referred them based on the work I had seen. I have been familiar with this company for years, even prior to them specializing in windows and doors. Contacted sales rep, visited showroom, got quote and signed contract 6/12/17, was told 8-10 weeks for start. Permit on 7/23, so far so good. Contacted rep mid August to check on start date and was referred to office staff....no further contact or follow up with rep. Job began 10/17 (18 weeks). Originally told aprox 3 days to complete. Final check paid out on 11/7. Older home with some tough door openings, but not unusual for South Florida. Not a knowledgeable crew, usually only 2 on site, never showed before 9:30/10. After 6 days and still not completed, I could not take off to stay home and baby sit the job, so then scheduled them as I could which why the job took so long to complete. Never saw the job foreman until the jobs end when I needed adjustments on several doors and trim finishing. In the end, the doors/windows are great, but the process was very frustrating. A neighbor even called the company for a quote but never got a return call. Just not a good experience, especially when spending this kind of money. Never a ‘thanks’ or follow up. Too bad, I know they are better than this, just not on my job, so my referrals for them has ceased.

Nothing but a great experience from quote to this day. The windows and doors have held up great through 2 hurricanes and a few mishaps like the outdoor swing falling onto the sunroom window..not a scratch. Had one lock stop working and they came out a year later and fixed it no problem. Will use again! Highly recommended!

JVR was very professional and responsive from their sales rep to their installers. I plan on hiring them again in the future to replace my doors with impact doors.

Tried to get an estimate for impact windows and doors. Account rep wrote one figure on their one-page brochure and said would only give a detailed estimate if we came to the showroom. All other companies we contacted were very accommodating and gave detailed estimates. Would not recommend using this company. Felt like they wanted to get us in the showroom so they could pressure us into signing. Our neighbor just had windows and doors installed by JVR this week and the installation job was very good. Wanted to consider them as one of the two we would go with but not without a written estimate to compare to the other company. Bad company policy if that is what it is.

We initially met with Brian at the house and he invited us to the showroom, which was easy to locate, to view the products and talk about different options. The 5 sliders across the back of our house total in length 61'. Two of them are 4 panels of glass. We were talking to 2 other vendors, but the quality of the product (and Brian's responsiveness) won the deal for JVR. Though the job was supposed to start in 6 weeks, it took 9 weeks because this was no small order or task. Both doors and 3 windows were rain glass and 3 of them included white liners. Rushing the factory only would leave to shoty product, so we waited. The project kicked off this past Monday when Jorge and crew showed up early and got straight to work. They knocked out the windows in short order and then came the doors and sliders. WOW! What a crew. They worked so well together, got along well and showed up every morning by 8am. In Ft Lauderdale, that is almost unheard of! These guys were the most professional, covering every piece of furniture. Every day they left, they cleaned up and hauled away debris. They went above and beyond in the installation. With new impact windows and doors, this 1956 ranch seems like a brand new house. The views to the water are enhanced by the low-e glass and the natural tint to the windows has prompted us to paint the house now. The entire installation took 5 FULL days. They left absolutely no seem unchalked and no smudge on a single piece of glass. During the week, we were visited by the Joe, his father Victor (founder) and our sales rep (twice); all on separate occasions. They really care about their customers and it shows.

If you are in the market for windows and doors, by all means shop around, but you will be hard pressed to find a better operation for the entire process than JVR. Make sure you are dealing with an installer that specializes in residential replacements. These old homes, with numerous additions and modifications, require a craftsman, not just an installer. Things just don't fit as well after 60 years. There is a lot more to buying doors and windows than price per window/door, it is the customer experience, from sales to installation that set JVR apart. First of all choosing an impact window & door company in South Florida to go with is like choosing an italian restaurant in Little Italy, NY. I mean you have so many that you have to go through. Finding JVR was such a blessing. From start to finish I felt like I was taken care of & I was a valued customer. When you are paying that much money you want to be sure you choose the right company that will take care of you. I called & told the office I wanted to set up an appointment for my free estimate. I got a call the next day from Joe (the owner) & he came out to measure my windows. I told him my concerns that my electricity bill was crazy high, the house would get so hot during certain times of the day & how it was so easy for someone to break in so a hurricane could definitely do major damage. He immediately addressed my concerns. He assured me that the windows & doors are safe for dealing with burglars but definitely hurricanes & that they would help bring down the cost of my electricity bill because they are insulated & with the way they lock, no air would leak out. I felt relief once I spoke with him. I stopped by the showroom to see first hand the options we talked about & his wife, Mariann, showed me around the showroom. She was so sweet & didn't make me feel silly for asking so many questions. I signed my contract & left the showroom excited to see how my home was going to transform. I got a call about 7 weeks later from Donna, telling me that the permitting, engineering & windows had come in so it was time to schedule my first installation. I asked why my doors weren't in yet & she explained that the class was scratched so they sent them back to the manufacturer. I was a little upset but was happy that they wouldn't just try to install it & hope I wouldn't notice. Donna wanted to put me on their schedule during a time I was out of town. I was a bit uneasy about this at first but she assured me that all the furniture would be covered & not to worry because all their installers are actual employees & not subcontractors. She said if I have any issues at all to just call & let her or Mariann know. I got back from my vacation & was so throughly impressed! The windows gave my home a whole new look. I walked inside to find that the installers cleaned my floors & wiped everything down. They put all my blinds back up & just made everything look the same as I left it (just with new windows). I was thrilled with the new windows. I called Mariann to let her know & she informed me that my doors came in. We set up the second install date for the doors & the installers showed up just before 9am like she stated. Lenny & his sons introduced themselves then explained how the process would work for the day, which made me very comfortable with having them work in my home while I was at work. I came home from work to see my home completely transformed. The windows made a difference but with the new front door & french doors, it just completed the whole new look. I just kept repeating that I loved the new look of my home, it just looked so up to date. The final inspection was set up & Patrick came over to drop off the pictures from my job. He explained once the final inspection passed that I could call my insurance company & notify them that I had replaced all my windows & doors with new impact ones. This way my homeowners insurance would go down. He told me to leave my stickers on the windows until the insurance company came out & then once they did to place them on a piece of paper & write down which window it was for. This way if I had an issue down the line such as needing a new screen or needing a piece of glass replaced it would cut down the time frame of getting the issue resolved. Needless to say, I felt very taken care of by all the employees at JVR. I didn't spend a substantial amount of money for some people but quite a lot for a young adult. Once the job was completed I received a personal handwritten thank you note from Joe & Mariann for choosing to go with them. It's the little touches like that, that make me feel like a valued customer & reassures me I went with the right company. JVR gave my home a whole new look & gave me a sense of peace, knowing that my home would be protected from burglars & hurricanes. All of my neighbors & friends that have seen the home since the installation have given me nothing but compliments. I recommend JVR to everyone. All I have left to say is, thank you JVR. It was a pleasure doing business with your company.

I signed a contract to have 11 windows replaced with new impact windows. The company rep promised me that the windows should be delivered and installed within six weeks.  The days leading to the installation date, I reached out to the company to confirm the installation date. Each phone call ended with the promise of a call back with more details-of course I never received those follow-up calls.
When the installers actually showed up to install the windows, they informed me that 4 out of the 11 windows that I contracted to have replaced would not be replaced due to damage. While the installers were courteous and professional, they could not provide me with a single clue as to when the remaining windows would arrive for installations. When I contacted the JVR, they insisted that I speak with the sales person with whom I initially met. He was aloof and dismissive. 
This company makes no effort to reach out to me to let me know what is happening with my order-even when they are failing to deliver on a signed contract. My attempt to contact them results in even less satisfaction.  Even as I was writing this review, I still didn't know when I was going to have the remaining windows installed. It's been now over 8 weeks since the contract was signed.I give JVR Windows two thumbs down for their customer service.

As the owner of JVR, I am upset about the previous review from a prospect that came into my showroom.  I spoke in length with the prospect about his situation... he had been robbed and didn't want to replace his doors, but repair them to save money.  I gave him a quote based on the sizes of the doors, that he gave me.  The quote was a price to replace the doors as we really are not in the business to repair doors, installed by other dealers. However, JVR would be glad to look at his doors and see if we can save him any money.  When JVR got to his home, this man opened his door, inappropriately dressed in his underwear ONLY and stayed that way the whole time while we measured his windows and doors.  When he called my office for a price, he was extremely rude and put off that I did not recognize his voice.  I apologized, however, I do speak with 40-50 customers a month, and I can't remember everyone's name with voice recognition only, typically someone will tell you their name at the beginning of a conversation.  I gave him a quote to replace his doors, and his remark was, "that is the same price as everyone else", well ok, then that is the right price.  He was extremely rude from the beginning of the call and continued to be inappropriate during the call, to the point I had to excuse myself from doing his job and said "good bye" and hung up.  I do remember this man because I've never been spoken to so rudely that I would ever hang up on a future prospect.  I hope this clears up any questions regarding this man's review, it's a shame that someone can write something so bad and leave out the true details.  As the saying goes, there are two sides to every story.

INCREDIBLY unresponsive.  I met with the owner in the showroom who gave a quick price on some of the merchandise, and promised to get back to me for a price on an additional door.  I had to chase her down for the price, and even after 2 days she could not give exact information.  I requested the company come out to the house for a complete estimate and to measure openings. I waited several days to hear from the company with the estimate; yet again I had to chase them down for the information which was given in approximate numbers.  The owner was unfamiliar with my needs - despite having performed the estimate!!   When I asked for a more concrete, actual written estimate I was told that she didn't have time for this and didn't appreciate my attitude.  She then hung up on me.  The most unfortunate thing is I had two more houses needing hurricane windows and doors, so the potential sale was well over $20,000.
