I have used them for a out of state move from Boca raton, FL to NJ. They gave me binding price and honor it, guys were amazing, quick and efficient. No single damage and delivery took place within 4 days. I appreciate the honesty and the hard work and definitely will recommend to family and friends.

Broke 11 items and lost a ladder. Said one driver for my item. A full load. It was a transfer of one truck to another and driver showed up with 2 loads. I have moved 9 times since 1987 due to my work. This was the worse.

Their price changed when they arrived to pick up, so i had no other option, I took then since I could not back out. Upon delivery 7 boxes were missing. They arrived at my home, had me sign, before they started unloading, then when I say boxes were missing, I was told file with the company. DO NOT HIRE THEM THEY ARE AWFUL. LOTS OF MY STUFF WAS BROKEN, WE DID NOT REALIZE UNTIL I STARTED OPENING BOXES. I CALLED I WAS TOLD FILE WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY USES ENTERPRISE TRUCKS TO MOVE, SO THEY EMPTIED THE TRUCKS A FEW TIMES. WHICH MEANS THEY BROKE STUFF AND MISPLACED STUFF.

GM Van Lines ended up taking some of our valuables. I would not trust them with another move or recommend them to anyone.

I received an email on Saturday afternoon notifying me that they could no longer come on Monday, July 19, 2021, which was my scheduled moving date with them. I booked a month ago. David stated GM needed to come a day early, but the crew would help me finish packing up. They would not charge for labor just materials. The cost to me ended up over $800! The salespersonâ s estimate was extremely incorrect. The cost over doubled. Never will I move again without having a representative come to the residence prior to moving. The foreman came into my home and said they would told it was going to be a much smaller job. He contacted David and my quote went from a price by weight to a fixed price. David from GM told the foreman twice to unload the contents of the truck and leave everything on my driveway! This man was completely unprofessional and a bully to boot! Can you imagine this poor crew being told this after three hours of loading. The second time that David threatened this was at the end. I asked for a bike and a bbq to be added. David said it would be an additional $300. This occurred after I was told that the truck was dead. It would not start. David told Tito to unload the truck to which Tito replied, **I cant, bossman, the hydraulic lift will not go down.** How comfortable did I feel at this point? The truck was loaded but the truck would not start. I had to jump start their truck with my cables and my car. David represented this company poorly in my opinion. The matter in which he treated me as a customer and his crew was deplorable. David made zero concessions. I asked for a ten percent discount, the removal of the $300 for the bike and the bbq, and for the 4% credit card fee to be waived. To my knowledge, he only agreed to the removal of the 4%. In addition, they arrived without stickers to label the contents of my home and take a complete inventory. They ran out. Ask questions. Get everything in writing. Do not take anything you are told verbally as accurate. I certainly wish I had done so with their sales representative. Make them come to your residence and personally give a quote to you. There was a lot of miscommunication between myself and their salesperson. On a positive note, the crew was great! If you use GM, I highly recommend using Tito, Clifton, Marcus, and Will. As of July 24, 2021 I have still not received an inventory list. I would encourage the owner to review all phone conversations between all parties as they record them for this purpose.

All my possessions were treated like trash. It was a miracle that nothing was destroyed!

I would never recommend this company. Their approach was a bait and switch. They quoted me a price and then when they arrived for the pickup they added all kinds of additional costs that were never quoted or discussed. The on site leader tried to change the terms of the move and charge me more, after extensive discussion and him calling the main office did he return to the terms of the signed contract. They are a dishonest company, use low costs to sign you up and then work to change the terms at the time you have no other choice.

My wife and I are retired from the DoD and have moved many times. GM Van Lines provided one of the best moving experiences from beginning to end. Excellent communication throughout the process and excellent crews at pack out and delivery.

GREAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. GREAT PRICE TO DO HEAVY HOME MOVE. EMPLOYEES WORK HARD.

Company low-balled the estimate. It was especially frustrating because we had a written binding estimate based on a walkthrough with the company, and multiple conversations about inventory and necessary packing supplies. We were constantly reassured that the binding price meant no surprises. We had the exact opposite experience when at the end of the pack, the price was nearly $1000 more than the binding estimate. It took several phone calls and unnecessary stress to get the company to honor the original binding price. The foreman, Rolando and his crew were great. They were very professional and worked hard to get the job done.

We are absolutely going to forgive the mess-up on the arrival time b/c it really didn t matter (was a goof up on the dispatcher end, not the moving crew themselves). Tron and his crew (3 total movers) were courteous, professional, careful and speedy. Excellent moving out experience. Have requested same crew for moving in to new home in 5 weeks (GMVL storing our belongings...makes things so much easier) But we booked GMVL not just b/c of good price, but also b/c Oded (owner) came to our condo to give in-person estimate. Several other movers would only give over-the-phone estimates. And then we spoke to Larry on the phone to book. Larry took the time to go over everything with us. Glad we booked with GMVL and highly recommend them.

Julio and his boys were professional fast and thorough people

I made the mistake of leaving the house before they were finished loading. First day of packing was fine. A number of Items were not found. Packed boxes using expensive table cloths as wrapping material. Broken China cabinet. One of the men had their wife and 4 children over and used my pool and washer and dryer to do their laundry. Cigarette buts left on pool deck. Clogged toilet. Left a mess.

They were fast and took care of my furniture.

I had 3 movers who did a thorough professional job both packing and moving the contents of a home. They showed up on time at 9 and finished the job at 2pm with 15 minutes of travel time.

Overall GM Van Lines was very good. They showed up on time with only a week notice. They packaged everything very well and it was all delivered without any damage. My only gripe is the estimate versus the final payment. I ended up paying almost 50 percent more than what I was originally quoted. Part of it was due to the amount of time it took but the one that really got me was that I got charged for extra protection of TVs. I had the TVs in the estimate but apparently that's an upcharge when the movers arrive. There is definitely a disconnect between the movers and the estimators.

Delivery was on time, the furniture was packaged well, the personnel was professional and organized as well as friendly. They did a very good job

Prices were reasonable and the movers were gentle with our belongings. Since our move, I have recommended GM Van Lines to a friend. Will recommend again.

They were a pleasure to work with from the first call to get a quote through the day of the move and post-moving. This is the best move I've ever had and will be using them again for future moves and recommending to friends.

They made this whole process very easy. Great value. The young men who moved my stuff had great positive energy and were incredibly efficient and professional.
