John was outstanding. He showed up as expected and his work is excellent. John is a very nice person with a great personality. John installed our mailbox in December 2012 and all was well until our neighbor backed into it and broke the post. Without hesitation, I called John, picked out a new mailbox and post from the in-stock selections on his website, and the next morning he was there to remove the old and install the new. I have to say this mailbox and post are even better quality and prettier than the last one, which I reviewed here back in 2012. John is a stickler for detail and makes sure your mailbox is installed to meet USPS regulations. And our mailbox is under a large live oak tree with stubborn roots, which John had to use a jackhammer to penetrate! John is professional, reliable, his prices are reasonable, and his customer service is excellent. He doesn't stop until the job is done right.

The job went perfectly. John showed up promptly, worked through difficult weather, and did a wonderful job removing the old post and installing a new post and mailbox. I live in an area with extremely hard coral rock just below the topsoil, and John skillfully used a jackhammer to remove the old concrete and drill through the nearly-impenetrable rock. I was amazed at the speed with which John completed the work, and delighted with the result. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a quality mailbox installed for a good price and with great service. A+ experience.

It went great! I phoned Mr Wessel and spoke to him to have him come by and give me an estimate. Within a couple days he stopped by, saw the mailbox, and gave me some ideas how he could fix it, and a fair estimate for the job. On June 28 he stopped by with the needed materials, and completed the job in about 3-4 hours time. Mr Wessel was a very nice man, and did a professional job! I would definitely recommend him to anyone, or any H.O.A

I think he was from Angie's List and had a very good rating. It took him a long time to get here to do it but he did a nice job. The order was put on January 4th. They did ask for the full amount on January 4th but we refused to give it to them because their item was back ordered and they didn't know when it was coming in. It was very pricey.

"We always ask for payment in full because this procedure allows us to install without making an appointment. This practice is not only convenient for our customers but helps us keep the cost of our installation down. We usually install within a couple days of purchase but the item you ordered was not a color we stock. That manufacturer offers sixteen different colors, therefore I can't possibly stock all of the colors. At the time of sale I told you the custom item would be shipped to me in 2 to 3 weeks. Unfortunately the manufacturer's entire stock of the post you chose did have a defect causing them a two week delay while they processed new posts. I should have informed you of the delay by the manufacturer but failed to do so. In a previous conversation I have apologized for that mistake. All said and done I am glad you are happy with the product and installation."

We are using them continuously over the next few months. We used them last year at the end of the year. They completed another phase in January. We are doing it in phases. Its 110 dollars a mail box for the mailbox and installation. We pay phase by phase. We do a 50% deposit then the balance when its done.

Measured for accuracy and compliance with USPS standards since mailbox was being relocated.
Installed new post, leveled and plumbed, secured with Sacrete down to a depth of approximately 20 inches.
Reinstalled and secured mailbox to post.
Dug up, removed remains of old Post and filled with top soil and sod.
Placed mulch around new post. Cleaned up entire job site.

Our old mailbox was ugly and dated, plus come to find out from John, probably wasn't legal by USPS standards. Often the mail carriers would not pick up our outbound mail because they could not figure out how to open the old box. We ordered a customized normal mailbox in the bronze. The quality of the mailbox is really nice and looks like it will last a long time. John dug out our old box and cemented in the new box all for a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend.

My mailbox had fallen over because the wood rotted away. I called John and he came the next day and put a new post in and my mailbox on top. I ordered a new plastic post with a new metal mailbox from his website. He had to order it, which took about a week to come in. He installed the new mailbox and post and even put mulch around the base. I just love my new mailbox! John did an EXCELLENT job- very professional and very quick.

Since her post had fallen over I came out and put up a temporary mailbox at no additional cost. I usually complete this emergency service within one business day of purchase. A few business days later I was able to return with her custom order and complete the job. Satisfied customers are my best advertisement. Angie's List has brought so many new customers to me from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties."

Contacted Excellent Mailbox after finding them on Angie's List. I wish I had searched for them first before buying my mailbox. A family member of mine knocked down my mailbox. I went to Home Depot and purchased a replacement, however, installing it became tricky. I called Excellent Mailbox and they came out to my home, installed the mailbox, put numbers on it, and even put mulch around the mailbox. Truly first class service. Had I known about these guys I would have purchased the mailbox from them instead of Home Depot.
