Bill's Painting

On the day of the contract I paid Bill 3500. One half of the contract. He said they would meet me at Home Depot to get supplies. They got all of the supplies needed. Showed up the next day. They worked for 2 hours. Nothing accomplished. However, they asked for me to extend 1/4 more of the contract ($1750). Which I refused. They left for lunch. Never returned. Never returned the call and my phone number was blocked.

Bill did a great job in recommending colors to paint the house and trim to color coordinate the entire layout.

Where should I start? Bill and his crew are by far one of the most professinal people we have ever hired. The price quoted was reasonable. The service performed was impeccable. Initially, we requested a quote for a new paint job for the exterior of our house. The service performed was so good that we decided to hire Bill to paint the interior as well.Bill is a perfectionist in what he does and it shows. We get a lot of compliments from friends and neighbors. Bill was very patiend and allowed us plenty of time to choose the colors we wanted. His employees are extremely polite and clean. They cleaned up the areas where they worked every time they were done. They constantly asked for our input. They did not hesitate to change colors when we asked them to. They were always on time. We will not hesitate to hire Bill for another job in the future.

Their work is very good. Their sense of responsibility (as far as being on time) is horrible. They were late for their first appointment and it took them 2 hours to call to let me know they were going to be late since their truck broke down. They were on time the next day but they let me know that they needed to go take care of some other work for a couple hours but they were gone for 4 hours. I called the owner and let him know that I expected the workers to get right back and finish the work. the owner knew I was very upset and they got here quickly. Their excuse was that they didn’t have my number but I feel like they could have called the office to have them call me. They were supposed to come a third day to remove the tape they had put up before painting and no one showed up. I called the owner again and he was unaware that his employee didn’t make it out. They did arrive later  that day to take care of it. They are very nice guys and very apologetic. They wanted to make it up to me but I told them that I just wanted them to finish the job that I hired them for. The job was supposed to take 1.5 days but took 3 days. The work was good but everything else was disastrous. I think that Bill, the owner, should follow up with his employees more and stay on top of things.

I had used Bill's Painting twice for the exterior of my house and had no problems.  The job was done correctly and in a timely fashion. However, when the company came to paint the inside of the house, knockdown ceilings, etc. it was a different story.   Unfortunately, Bill's Painting subs out the work, and I had workmen that didn't speak a word of english.  The foreman was suppose to be on the job, but was always off doing something else.  I could not communicate with any of the workers.   In addition, they hadn't wrapped my my sofas correctly, and needless to say, I ended up with stucco all over the material.  Bill did pay for the cleaning of the fabric.  However, then he had to get new workers to finish the bedrooms, and the knockdown on the ceiling didn't match the rest of the house.  They also didn't use a mesh tape for a drywall crack and now, years later, the crack shows even more.  The whole job took too long and was a terrible nightmare!  I was extremely disappointed with Bill's Painting.

There were several phases to the work, which extended through three weeks or so in May.  The painters Bill employed had great skills and excellent at what they did.

Bill was one of three painters recommended by our decorator. For the same service, his price was well-below the others. He came at our convenience to look at the job, started and finished on time. Was unruffled by having to work around multiple fish tanks and move an enormous armoire. he left nothing uncovered, literally. it looked like he and his crew were painting inside a plastic drop cloth tent. Therefore the house was spotless when he was finished.

in two places apparently some oil had gotten on the wall from previous owners. it seeped through his painting so he returned to apply a special product and then repainted those areas, which now look flawless.

Very, very well.  I called Bill Walde for an estimate which he gave to me on 4/27/11.  He commenced his work promptly and finished in a timely manner.  His work is extremely careful and neat.  He oversees his assistants in a business-like way.

Mr. Walde is a most honorable man and does what he says he will do.  In addition, he guarantees his work and will return to make any needed adjustments.  I have used him to paint the house exterior and also the interior in the past and have always found him to be thoroughly reliable, fair and responsible.

I was totally satisfied with Bill and his service.  I had him paint the interior of a house I moved out of and am renting.  He was responsive and courteous.  He showed up on time for my estimate and finished the job on time.  The work was excellent.  I am having him paint the exterior of my new house in the next month.  I cannot recommend him more highly.  He is the best.

They did a great job! They pressure cleaned and filled in all cracks befor painting with a high quality Sherwin Williams paint. They also work in Dade & Broward counties. I would not hesitate to use Bill again. He really cares that the job is done right.

Bill came out promptly with his crew. gave me a spot on estimate. Set the time and date...showed up promptly. Made sure to clean up well after the crew finished painting the entire house.

Great job. Dining room ceiling is smooth -- exactly as we wanted -- no difference from the rest of the house. Woodwook and doors look great which enamel paint -- very professional -- super smooth. A great team to work with. This is our second project for Bill's Painting -- highly recommended.

When I talked to the man that first came to our house, he told me that 2 to 3 painters would do the job. When the time came to paint, only one man arrived and not the 2-3 like he had previously agreed to send us. Instead of the job taking 1 week like was said, it took 2 weeks. The quality of the work was excellent and the painter that did arrive was a great worker. We were happy with the job overall, but not happy that there was a time delay.

Great. Very responsive to my request for a quote. Detail for quotation given. Very prompt when responding to questions re: bid. Work started on time. Very thorough work. Power washing, caulking / sealing of all doors, windows, repair of stucco work prior to application of primer. Very professional -- job looks great. No mess left behind after the job. Great to work with. We will definitely use Bill's again!

It went very well. we had to re-schedule when we were supposed to start due to a scheduling conflict on our side. They accommodated us and were very nice. Only issue was that the person that looked at our house and did the estimate was not the person doing the job, so there was a little communication problem at the start on what was in the estimate. Overall they did a great job on the house and it looks wonderful.

Absolutely, an unbelievably fabulous experience! If you (the reader) are a fan of HGTV and specifically, the program "Holmes on Homes," Bill and his company, in my opinion, is the Mike Holmes of Fort Lauderdale painters. They were that good. Everything (and I do mean everything) from beginning to end was executed perfectly. Bill responded to my initial call precisely at the agreed upon appointment time and explained in detail all of the work he was proposing to perform. Once I agreed, he and his crew arrived on time everyday and they worked diligently throughout the day. At the end of each day, Bill explained what had been done and what they were going to do in the next step. Throughout the entire project, his crew was cordial and polite and exceptionally respectful of existing outdoor furniture, etc. Bill Walde, owner, was present at all times; he supervised and participated in the entire job. All of the surrounding area was thoroughly protected in drop clothes and plastic sheeting. Small touch-up points which I thought needed slight additional attention were performed immediately without hesitation. When they were finished, my roof absolutely sparkled in brilliant white paint. This is the fourth time I have had this roof either pressure washed and/or painted during my residency in this home since moving here in mid-2003. This experience was so far above and beyond my previous experiences that I simply cannot say enough good things about Bill and his company. When I have any future painting requirements, including the interior of my home, Bill's Painting, Inc. is the one and only company I shall call. This is the fourth time we've hired Bill over the past 12 years. He has always been prompt and professional. He and his crew have fixed the stucco wall after the electrician installed new wiring, the wall around the new circuit box, beautifully finished and painted inside and outside two of our homes. His rates are reasonable, he is more particular than anyone I've ever had do work for me, his crew comes neat, clean and ready to work, he and his crew cover everything and still clean up completely. I would (and will) hire him again. He's the best!
