Explained problem to John. Told me only he could fix it so had to wait for him to come. No problem. I opened walls where cross connection could have occurred to give John access. I was out of town. He showed up, never disconnected anything, call someone else to help him but did no actual work. He couldn't figure it out so he told my wife we needed a complete repiping at the tune of $5,000.00. My wife didn't know what to do so she signed the contract and gave him a few thousand dollars deposit. I returned from my trip and saw he did not try what we discussed, which was to disconnect hot and cold pipes where they connected to the shower diverters. That is why I cut open the walls for him at those locations prior to leaving town. I went to Home depot and purchased 5 1/2" plugs for$36..00 and cut the pipes (which are the plastic tubing) and installed the plugs, went to the kitchen, turned on the hot water and almost scaled myself. Problem solved. There was a cold line connected to the hot side at the shower. Exactly what I suspected and told him. So, I cancelled the contract and I received a bill for the three hours of his time. In that time, he walked around my house and sat in his truck. Received a bill for $400.00. For what? I paid it. I honestly can only come to the conclusion that because he was dealing with a female, he thought that she was too dumb to know he didn't know how to fix the problem so he would just tell her he needed replace all the pipes in the entire house. I was surprised he had the nerve to show up personally to get the check. I refuse to call him Plumber John. I'll refer to him as John. Perhaps a name change should be in his future.

It went Magnificently, as a true Angel from Heaven; John Ivey walked in, and completely put us at ease in literally the second he walked in...and immediately took charge, expected nothing from us re the immense clean-up required. He dove into every facet of this messy hard job. We absolutely believe, and know from experience, no one on Earth could have done a better, quicker, more excellent and efficient job...NO ONE! And, we have lived in over 8 houses, known many plumbers, but struck Absolute Gold and Platinum when John Ivey from Plumber John walked into our house, and left our home as intact, clean and new looking as the day we walked into it,over 4 years ago. As well, we can't say enough about Rick Hottoishottois who runs Plumber John's Office. Rick is as well an angel and immediately championed our late night drain issue. Rick told us approximately when John would arrive. SURPRISINGLY, he did arrive a lot earlier than scheduled. An amazing blessing. Both John Ivey and Rick are our new Supermen! Plumber John is fantastic. They thought of details that other plumbers might not have done, such as grouting the bottom of the toilet after they installed it and a shut-off valve under a vanity in case there is a problem with the tub down the road. The work was very neat. They are very friendly. The price was good.

Amazingly perfect work. Every detail was tended to.  They called before any new, unforseen issue was fixed.  Work was on time and very professional. We are using them again in a few weeks at another home. 

John was meticulous about protecting our flooring, laying down tarps from the entry to the problem. He took 2 1/2 hours to complete the job.

My immediate problem of water overflowing the toilet and backing up under the bathtub was corrected, and a video of the pipe from its beginning point all the way out to the street showed me the repairs I'll need to make in the future. Within 24 hours I received the written estimate for the future repairs of the corroded cast-iron sewer line, including a full explanation of what will need to be done. The problem was clearly explained to me, and the video not only made it easy for me to see what the problem is but to rest assured that I received accurate information and assessment of the problem.

If you want a good experience with a reliable and trustworthy company (plumber), call Plumber John in Osprey, FL.  I used Plumber John to replace my hot water heater.  My first contact with the company was Julie, who answers the phone.  Julie was extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions and provided me with a price quote  which was fair.   I knew, as I had done research.  When the plumbher came to replace my hot water heater, he was on time, professional, and went beyond the call of duty.   I am 100% satisfied with Plumber John and would use them again, and definitely recommend them to others.

This company gets an A+.  Just bought a 1970 mobile home with some needed repairs/upgrades. John (not owner John) went thru the issues we had and made recommendations and quotes for the most satisfactory, yet economical fixes. He returned with another plumber and installed water line for ice maker, new garbage disposal, new outside water spigot. He also came back and replaced 2 shower heads (that we bought) for no additional charge.
This company is not only on Angie's List, but also on our association's list of service providers. Prompt, professional, courteous and excellent quality of work!
