Rodent Pest Control Service, Bug and Insect Pest Control Service, Bird and Bat Pest Control Service,

About us

Bee removal is something most people have never had to deal with. When most people find a honey bee infestation on their property, they usually don't even know where to begin to. Luckily, you've come to the right place. Family owned and operated, with 8 fully equipped trucks, Willie the Bee Man is one of the largest bee removal companies in Florida because bee removal is all we do. Willie and company have been quoted and interviewed for local and national tv and newspapers, as well as being on National Geographic, Discovery, CBS, NBC, ABC , Fox, CNN, NPR and others. Bee Removal requires a delicate touch, especially when the honey bees need to be removed from within your residential or commercial property. Bee removal can also be tricky since most of the time all you will see is a dozen or so honey bees going in and out of a hole on your property. What most people don't expect and are surprised to find is that right behind that opening are thousands if not tens of thousands of bees helping build and protect the colony being established in the cavity. Once the cavity is opened and we expose the honeycomb, for most customers it is shocking to find that there can be 50, 60, even over 100+ lbs of honeycomb waiting to be removed if the hive has been there for a good amount of time. To see the where to look for bees and the most common spots bees build, click here. When engaging a bee removal company to get rid of bees, the first thing to check is that the company is licensed and insured. Proper bee removal will usually require opening the cavity that the bees are building in, whether it be the wall, roof or soffit of your property. The bee removal process is stressful enough without having to worry about whether the work will be done correctly. Proper licensing assures that the company is accountable for their work and that they have taken the time to get the continuous training and education requires.

It was a pleasure dealing with Alex, he was extremely professional, he removed the hive and recomended a coworker to repair the hole from the front wall. We are very happy that we called Willie the Beeman.

One treatment was all it took to get rid of them. The technician who performed the work was very knowledgeable and explained to me what he did and when I should expect to no longer see any bees.

A different A-rated contractor already came over and quoted me something outrageous, including bringing a separate roofer. So, I called Willie and explained to him exactly what I needed done. He gave me an estimate that looked very reasonable. Omar came the next day, figured out where the hive was, opened the soffit, got the hive out, repaired the soffit (even painted it with paint I provided) and walla! Few stray bees still circled few more days and then nothing. easily recommended.

I remember this gruff, not very friendly, man coming into our yard and tackling the work which included spraying insecticide into the area where the bees were.  I wasn't aware insecticide would be used, I thought he'd try to either get them to leave with smoke or relocate them elsewhere.  When he was done, there were hundreds or thousands of dead bees on the ground while there was also a chance some of the insecticide ended up in our dogs' kennels.  I wasn't pleased at the way the job was done, will never use them again, cannot refer this company to anyone.  And we wonder why bees are dying all over the world?!  With service such as the one he provided there's no need to wonder.  I am extremely glad the dogs were brought inside our house prior to this guy doing his work.

They are punctual and professional. Although expensive for the time it takes to actually remove the bees they are in line with other bee removal companies as far as price. I like that the appointments and payments are all done online.

I used him when I had my house. I sold my house two years ago. On two occasions, I had to use them because I had beehives. They were very good. I was very satisfied. Three or four years ago, they fixed the play yard and I was also very pleased.

First, Willie the Bee Man's system is entirely paperless.  You submit a work order on his website & are billed via your e-mail account.  I was impressed by his efforts to save trees.  The work order is thorough, easy to follow, allows you ample opportunity to describe your situation, and lets you submit photos.  I completed a work order Monday morning 4/27/15.
NOTE:  don't be afraid of the price range & work details when you talk with them by phone.  They are very up-front & give you a realistic & kind-of worst-case scenario, basically letting you know the very worst you could be in for, but give you enough detail so you can estimate where in their range of work & price you might fall (eg, if they have to use a Genie to go 50ft up in a tree or into a 2nd or 3rd-floor attic, you will have to pay a lot more than for a 1st-floor job & they tell you the prices for their basic scenarios).
The schedule box said they were booked for 48 hours but would try to respond within 72 hours.  Even so, I asked for a 48-hour response but said in my comments that 72 hours would be okay.  They responded within 24 hours!  The rep was nearby and said he could come the morning of the 28th.  He called again a half-hour before arrival & arrived exactly on time.
From reviews here & my initial call to the company, I was already warned that they might have to create multiple holes in my wall to find the hive.  The rep looked over the site & said there were three possibilities for the hive location.  But he did a really thorough investigation, and thought between the ceiling and roof was the most likely site, not in my cinder block wall, as I thought initially.  This would also involve the least amount of destruction so he tried there first.
He was right!  He made an initial small drill hole in my garage ceiling (he was careful to try to get to it from inside rather than make holes in the outside of my garage) & out flew some bees.  He then cut a 12x8-inch hole & had the hive out & swarm eradicated within 45 minutes.  I will have to repair the hole myself, which they told me before the rep came out, but he was careful to make it an easy & small job as possible.
Another thing I like about this company, that unfortunately I was unable to use, is that they offer an option for live removal & replacement with a bee keeper.  Being mostly vegan & an animal rights supporter, I would've loved to do this but was told with hives in structures live removal is nearly impossible--it would strain the bees so much that many of them would die anyway.
After the job was done, the rep told me where the bees had entered,.  He said that one hive is a part of a loose community of maybe 50 hives, and that bees mark their territory, meaning, once another portion of the community senses the vacancy they might try to make a new hive after a few months so I will have to seal off the entryway, which he told me in detail how & when to do.
About billing:   they bill by size of hive.  Mine was big, 6 months old or so, but the quoted price seemed very fair based on my research.  The rep gave me a ball-park range at first, seeing the structure but not the hive, and the final price was well below the top of the range.  NOW, I saw a couple of complaints on Angie's List about Willie the Bee Man's reticence to honor Angie's List coupons.   While we were discussing the post-job details, the rep mentioned he saw from the work order I'd found them through Angie's List & he would apply the coupon to the price he'd just quoted me.  I didn't even have to ask!
My only complaint besides having to kill the bees was that we must have wasted 20 jars worth of organic local honey!  I was going to keep the combs but the rep reminded me they were contaminated with the spray he had to use to eradicate the bees.  Sad but inevitable. . . .
I'm writing this before my bill shows up but I am confident it will reflect the agreed-on price & Angie's List coupon.  If you're reading this after 5/1 or so, that means the bill reflected the quote & I didn't have to revise this paragraph.  In all respects both the company & rep were excellent.

I had a big swarm of hundreds of bees appear in a ficus hedge, with what appeared as a nest about 10".  I called Willie the Bee Man (based on Angie rating) and the person who answered (guessing it was Willie) asked some questions about the location of the nest, etc. He said this was likely just a "temporary swarm" and not a permanent nest built in that location, and if I waited a few days they'd probably leave on their own.
Sure enough within a couple of days, no more bees!
I'm appreciative of his expertise and not trying to sell me removal when it was not needed.

He lives near my home so he was able to get here quickly & came over on a Sunday afternoon. He completely removed the hive & we have had no more problem with bees since. After he removed the hive he gave us very detailed information as to what we should expect over the next week or two as far a bees being around so we would have no surprises. He was not the cheapest but I am certain that he is the best.
Willie runs a very professional operation. He does what he says he will do, does it well, does it on time & deserves to be highly recommended.

Terrible:  overpriced, had attitude and couldn't get to me fast enough.

NOT ONLY THEY ARE OVERPRICED AND THEY PLAY GAMES WITH THE COUPONS (FIND EXCUSES NOT TO HONOR IT) BUT I PAID THEM TWICE TO REMOVE THE BEE'S BEFORE AND BECAUSE I HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT THE COUPON THE OWNER TOLD ME HE WOULD NOT COME BACK TO MY HOUSE TO FIX WHAT THE WORK THEY SUPPOSEDLY GUARANTEE.

Prompt, professional and personable.
They were available within 24 hours of my call, gave me a couple hour window for service the day I called, then called the morning of the service to give me a 1 hour window, and to top it off, called me as they were headed over.  Seemed to me that their approach was to make it convenient for me, rather than for them.  Wow that does not happen every day in South FL.
Serviceman was polite, efficient and professional.  He took care of the problem within an hour, and I was charged the minimum fee.
Bees gone, minimum fee, great service - I could not be happier.

 Could not have been better.
The techician, Andre, arrived on time & explained what he would do & asked if we wanted him to proceed.
He then proceeded to find, remove & treat the area where the bees had built their hive.
Following the removal he met with us to explain exactly what had been done, & what would happen
over the next several days. He was outstanding.
If Willie the Bee Man has others like Andre as part of his company,
it is no wonder that the company is so highly rated.
Angie we thank you for being the source for us of Willie the Bee Man
as part of your comprehensive service. Very glad we are members.
