Lovely at the onset. Easy exchange of information, list of items to ship, photographs of the items to help with estimation, and a swift estimate of $2,800 to ship a small ensemble of inherited items. Movers were supposed to arrive on a Monday morning. Without notice they showed up at 5:00 pm on Tuesday. They took some photos of the items, sent it off to a supervisor, and suddenly my $2,800 job was going to cost me $4,200. They said that their estimator didn’t do a good job, despite their claim to handling ten thousand trips a year. They gave me two options: stick with the original price and they would only pack and ship half my items; or pay the significant up charge and they would deliver all my goods. I brought forward option #3: cancel the job immediately. They pressured me with the loss of my $1,400 deposit which was required to be paid via bank draft. At that point, I wasn’t going to have anything more to do with them. These guys are the nightmare movers that you hear about in the news: DO NOT USE THEM.
