"Thank you so much, Steve. The pleasure was mine. I hope you guys enjoy the kitchen for many years."
"This guy was difficult from the start and I had a bad vibe from get go... He has no clue what he's talking about and if he knows more than a licensed GC then he should have gone the DIY route. Constant changes- He requested an instahot which my plumber installed then he said it was not hot enough. He ordered one from Amazon and I had my plumber go back and uninstall the first one and install the one he ordered at no charge. Upon completion he was nowhere to be found for final payment. I made another stop by his property to collect my final payment at which time he falsely accused me of breaking his screen door latch before he would pay me and he took it upon himself to deduct $100 for a $5 latch. Myself and my sub-contractors pride ourselves on quality workmanship and we go out of our way to satisfy our customers, it's really counterproductive to work for people like Hal. Then to have to respond to a review written out of spite. A picture of this project is added to our photo library."
"Thank you very much... It was a pleasure working for you!"
"I pride myself on doing quality work and have 30 years of experience and many completed projects with very happy customers across 3 states, including Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. This was actually one of our smaller projects and should have been easy, but from the very beginning nothing suited or pleased Teri. We brought samples that are popular and used on many outdoor kitchens, but she did not like them. I suggested that they go meet with my granite supplier and pick a granite that they liked and they chose a level 3 granite which was an upgrade since the majority of people, especially the cost-conscious, go with a level 1 since it's going outside. My granite supplier graciously offered them the granite that they picked (level-3) at a reduced cost of a level 2 since they were my customers. In order to fit all components that they wanted in the space, I had to have my electrician move the outlet to a safe area away from the grill. Then when it came time for the backsplash, they did not like the glass tile that is normally used, so they picked a different tile that is diagonal which would require extra cost and labor... When I informed them of this they stated they would use their tile guy,at which time I installed a complimentary (free of charge) border to finish the area after the stonework was completed to make it easier for their tile person. We will customize any project and the customer can pick anything that they wish, but when you upgrade or use a product that costs more then naturally the price changes - that's so on any construction project. They were not charged for tile since they decided after the project was started to purchase their own tile and they were given a discount on the upgraded level 3 granite. Teri even complained that I listened to sports talk radio as I worked in the over 105 degree heat index... If her personal insults were true regarding my skills, I would not be in business as a contractor (GC) specializing in custom stone for 30 years as well as being a Construction/Project Manager on numerous residential and commercial projects."
