The tech determined that a valve was the problem, but a new one would have to be ordered. He raised my thermostat a little to slow down the freeze-ups. That was Labor Day weekend. Before the part could be installed, I evacuated from Irma. When I called Spectrum the Wednesday after the storm, they still did not have power, but said they would call as soon as they could. They called the next day. When the installer arrived the next morning he said he was there to install the valve and a new coil. Dollar signs flashed in my brain. He worked for three hours. When he came back from his truck, I reached for my checkbook... No charge!! My unit was still (barely) under warranty. I would never have known. These guys go beyond the expected in every way.

We got 3 quotations from local installers. Spectrum was not the least expensive of the 3. However, Rick the Sales / Tech guy, presented the most comprehensive presentation. The complete system was installed on time and in less than a day. The air handler was damaged in transit and the installer chose to get a replacement from their warehouse. This is something that I would have never known had I not asked. True professionals.

Said he installed a 50 amp breaker , but on later inspection found that he did not. I still have the old 40amp breaker .

I have learned my lesson, when parts are replaced, I want to see the old part that was replaced.

The contractor was on-time and professionally attired. He completed a detailed inspection of the house and A/C system including ductwork in attic. He provided a detailed and complete estimate and explained several options. He was extremely knowledgeable about the type of work. He called later in the day and followed up and even offered to come back after hours to explain anything to my wife if I needed him to. The only reason I decided to go with someone else was price for the job. I would have been very comfortable with Spectrum to do any work at my home.

I have used Spetrum AC for the past 3 years for semi-annual service. I had to have a new A/C unit and they installed it. The quality of work is extremely good. They change filters, clean system and do thorough inspections and let you know when something is wrong. The price for the A/C unit was little higher than other companies but the efficiency of unit was better.

The installers were on time, corrected some problems with our existing duct work, and were very thorough in their clean up.
They made sure the air-conditioner function correctly before leaving, and took the extra time to cycle the unit several times.
I highly recommend Spectrum Air.

They are good, quick, and honest. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.
