I needed to have two pairs of scissors and a meat cleaver sharpened. I found Preshers sharpening service using Google. When I went to drop off my scissors and knife, they told me that they don't deal directly with customers and that I would have to drop off my items at Circle Service of SW Florida a couple of blocks away. I dropped them off at Circle Service and they called a week later to tell me that my items were ready for pickup. They were quite sharp and I was satisfied with the results. I did find it to be a bit pricey as it averaged out to be about $5 per item, but it is getting to be very difficult to find this service locally, so there isn't much choice except for mail order which would probably cost more given the shipping charges.
