ALL PRO CLEANING SYSTEMS

They were supposed to restretch and clean the carpet in the living/dining room and bedroom; instead, they told us they wouldn't be doing it that day because they had to do major mold mitigation. This involved moving everything, including furniture, out of the rooms, installing dehumidifiers and an air cleaner. They never gave us an estimate for what this was going to cost, but said it had to be done immediately, that we would have to find somewhere else to sleep for "4 or 5 nights" (emphasis on immediately) and presented us with a contract (which we were later told by our HOA that we were unauthorized to sign) for the work. There was no estimate as to the actual cost of this additional work. They pretty much just dumped our personal stuff into boxes, bins and suitcases. When the HOA said we couldn't have the work done, we called to have the equipment removed and they couldn't get it until Tues. Jan 27. They removed the machines and asked us to sign a stop work order and pay approx $1990.00 Because they used bait and switch, as well as scare tactics, I stopped payment on the check. We ended up having another company do the work. I am willing to pay up to their original estimate of $500 (which was for the restretching and cleaning) for what they did. Anything more than that amounts to elder abuse.
