About us

Superior Heating & Cooling Corp. is a family owned and operated company that has been in business since 1958. The ownership team of Ed Dieker and Spencer Artz has over 74 years of combined air conditioning experience. They have been integral parts of the solid foundation of Superior since the early 1970's. The company currently employs over 40 people with expertise in all aspects of the industry including new construction, replacements, light commercial and service. We work with over 64 builders in the area and have done over 50,000 separate installations! Our 18,000 square foot facility in Nokomis, complete with a designer showroom equipped with fully operational air conditioning systems for customers to try out and compare. Superior was also awarded "The Best of Venice Award" by the Venice Gondolier Sun Newspaper for the last sixteen years. They are excellent and very dependable. They always get someone right out here when needed and their service people are very professional. Even their prices are very reasonable. I have them service it twice a year and I would highly recommend them.

Not well. INFERIOR is more like it. Our $14,000 unit is 3 months old. We had to call 2 different times for AC repair and now again for heat. They whined about coming on a weekend - when they finally showed up 6 hours late they had no parts on the truck so we are still cold.

They were amazing! When our air went out on a Saturday, they've sent someone over that same day. They figured out that we needed to replace it, and so on Monday morning, we had a temporary unit that's free of charge so that we would not be uncomfortable while they worked up the quote and figured out what we needed. And then, they installed it. There was an issue with the installation, and they came the very next day and took care of it. I was very happy with them! Their prices are better than anyone else's. I will continue using them, and actually I have told many people about them.

They are fine. I have a contract for two visits a year. So far they are pretty much on time. They are not looking to put in extra charges each time they come or extra things that have to be fixed. They check out the unit and they check outside. They take out the fancy filters and they rinse them all off. As far as I can tell they are a fairly comprehensive service as far as maintaining the unit.
