I dropped my truck off and checking it was a breeze and very professional. A few hours later I received an email and a phone call describing what was found as well as other items that needed attention. The email included very clear and well taken pictures of the truck and what was found. I was informed the U-joints where fine. The mechanic discovered the noise was actually coming from the wheel. He removed the wheel, cleaned the entire area, and replaced the wheel and torqued the lug nuts. They checked all four wheels and the torque was incorrect on all four. The noise is gone! I am very happy with he service as well as the professionalism I was given. I will be taking my vehicles back here whenever I need work done.

They have always been trustworthy and honest for the multiple years I have taken vehicles there. The new computer system has a little bit of growing pains, but will be very good when up and running and once customers fully understand the information they are receiving and what that means. You may pay a little more than competitors, however, you will get good work done there and know that it is honest.

Fantastic. Also a week later our Air Conditioning was going out and while on vacation they walked me through what might be causing it and how I could fix it on the road witht a part, a relay,  found at any Autozone. In fact they emailed me the part # and a picture of where it was under the hood. Replaced without issue. After this day we spent the next 2 weeks chilled in our Honda Odyssey on a wonderful family road trip vacation while it was 100 degrees outside in southern Florida. Saved this family of 5's bacon. I have used them for 15 years. As soon as a warning light comes on they get it. They charge 40 to $60 depending on what the maintenance requires. They are honest, do super work, and trustworthy.

We were interested in purchasing a vehicle in the Niceville area and wanted a pre-purchase inspection done.  As we live over an hour and a half away, I turned to Angie's List for a recommendation of a reputable mechanic.  Niceville Auto Service was highly rated and for good reason- the service they provided was excellent.  They gave me the most thorough pre-purchase vehicle inspection I've ever had- checking all systems and providing me with a detailed list of repairs needed and potential problems in the future, as well as a repair cost estimate.  The information they gave me allowed me to negotiate a better price on the car.  When I returned home to my own mechanics, they agreed with all of Niceville Auto's findings.  Niceville Auto was very professional (and patient with my short-notice need to change my appointment time twice); I would absolutely use them on a regular basis if I lived in the Niceville area.

We moved to Niceville with our vehicles in good order despite their ages: 2007, 2000, and 1996. My prayer partner had only come a few months before me, but with 3 sons driving multiple vehicles, they had already located Niceville Auto and used them several times. So I speak for both her family and mine. They had only 2 years assigned to be in Niceville, but had figured out how to quickly find the best services. They did not steer me wrong.
From the beginning, we had positive rapport with the associates at Niceville Auto, particularly Dave Lummus, who consistently served us almost every time we called or visited. He looked up any type of estimates and scheduled any services we decided to do. There was never deceit, unnecessary services, or a lack of caring if something was not just right. Any questions we had were answered intelligibly, and discussed professionally. They suggested services that would be coming due, based on manufacturer's recommendations, and provided options so we could make choices based on our budget.
We had 3 cars serviced with Niceville Auto: 2 SUVs and 1 truck. We needed a muffler welded, windows retinted, windshields replaced, and the bed of a truck lined over the course of the 4 years we lived there; these were the only services they could not provide. They did our oil changes, alignments, rotations & balances, new tires on each vehicle, transmission flush & filter, windshield wipers, battery replacement, funny smells, leaks, squeaks and other strange sounds.
When our much loved collectable SUV blew the engine for the 2nd time in 5 years, we could not return to the place that had replaced it originally in Atlanta and hold them accountable for the work they had done. It was a challenge for Dave to locate a usable engine from a reliable dealer because of its age. But our vehicle had never been in a collision and we had recently paid to have it painted, retinted, new brakes and new tires mounted; we were not ready to give it up. Niceville Auto did all the engine work, installing all the belts, hoses, motormounts, gaskets, you name it. They did it in a timely manner and tweaked anything we noticed in the weeks following to make sure it was completed correctly.
With the purchase of tires (on each vehicle), we received a road hazard warranty that lasts the life of the tires. So even though we have moved out of the area, we know the tires are covered. In fact, David Cassel said the tires here will last very long, and they have; our new auto shop verified that they have several thousand miles left (Uniroyal 80K & tigerpaws around $500 for the set installed in 2009 and 2011).
We participated in their annual promotion for a package one year, and were able to spread the benefits over the needs of the 3 different vehicles. We even bought a package for a friend who had not connected with a local repair shop since moving to the area, having confidence that they would take care of her so she would not continue to put band-aids on her family's minivan instead of keeping it in good shape. For the services listed (we were consistent about getting routine maintenance), we paid about $400/year/vehicle (except for the previously mentioned engine replacement).
We have found it difficult through the years to find reliable auto maintenance. In Atlanta, though it was a family-owned company, we always found ourselves questioning the necessity of services as recommended. Niceville Auto is not a chain, but they had recently relocated to their position near Niceville High School, and in 2009, were starting to build their business. By the time we moved in 2013, they were booking out for appointments, but continuing to operate from a position of integrity and a commitment to excellent customer service.
To keep your vehicles running reliably, you have to have them maintained. So it is essential to have a auto service that is trustworthy, dependable, accessible and available for appointments. Proving themselves with the small services, we entrusted them with larger ones as those came due. If we ever had a question about how something was done, they were glad to answer it. If we ever needed to recheck work after we picked it up, they graciously complied. I sincerely hope they will build on the excellent reputation they have established by keeping up their prompt, reasonably priced, professional service, as many will benefit and their business will continue to thrive.

No wait. Easy parking during check-in. Fast, but complete, service. Follow-up and periodic subsequent mailings.  This was a "new resident" introductory special advertised at no cost. Nothing was added to the cost.  Shop and waiting room were immaculate. Personable manager.  No pressure for future commitment on my part.  Due to my low use of my vehicle (2001 model year, 44,000 miles) the manager understood I wouldn't be back soon.

I cannot say enough good things about David Cassel and his crew at Niceville Auto.  I have been taking our vehicles to them for over ten years now and they have always done a fantastic job.  They provide expert service and maintenance based upon the situation at hand.  They have completed all scheduled maintenance and inspections on our vehicles and provided expert repairs for more in-depth automotive repairs, always at a fair price and timely service.  Also, they stand behind their repairs and provide excellent warranty coverage on their repairs.

I am 100% satisfied with Niceville Auto Service.  After several negative experiences with auto dealerships in the area, I asked co-workers where they took their cars locally, and several of them happily referred me to Niceville Auto.  I have been going there since 2007 and have always been pleased with the service, responsiveness and professionalism.  They will fix your car correctly, for a reasonable price.  And if there is ever an issue with a job, they will follow-up and make it right.  As an example, I recently had problems with my catalytic converter causing faults to trip and my check-engine light to go on.  They replaced the catalytic converter, and when the issue remained, they installed a new catalytic converter free of charge, noting that the first one was a bad part.  That is honesty and integrity!  They worked hard to fit me into their schedule during the time-frame I needed.  And, they followed up with a phone call to make sure the issue had been resolved.  It has been a huge stress-relief to know that I have an auto shop where I can take my cars to get fixed reliably, with friendly service.

We were referred a year ago to Niceville Auto by a 15-yr customer.  Quickly understood why --these mechanics know their trade and will work with you!  Exceptionally well-organized, their staff greet you professionally on the telephone and in the office.  Any issues are brought to your attention promptly with an estimate for you to authorize or decline the work. They worked with me to obtain a very specific fuel treatment I use in my 10 year-old Avalanche as well as allow me to specify my motor oil.  
They have an incredible one year service package that applied to ALL the vehicles in your household.  Also, they send a monthly newsletter out which contains discounts.  Either way, you are provided ways to save!

Coming home from Aj's in Destin, the Service Engine Soon light came on, by the time we got to the SunPass office, the engine had started to sputter. Continueing to drive because we are not far from our driveway, further damages occured.  Both converters blew, along with whatever was wrong under the hood (I don't recall what the problem was exactly).  We had to have it towed to Niceville Auto (we didn't know where else to take it and they seemed nice when I had gone into ask about something before this incident).  Niceville Auto origianlly misdiagnosed the mechanical problem.  They left the "mistaken" part in the truck, did not charge us for it.  Re-evaluated the problem, replaced with another part (which solved the mistery, as this part was a rarity to go bad).  Niceville Auto also recommened a muffler shop, because while trying to originally get the truck home, we blew both converters in the exhaust.  The muffler shop was a bit high, but this had to be fixed, and we were in no position to bargain as the truck still idled extremely rough after the converters were installed.

I have been taking my cars to Niceville Auto Service since 2006.  They have always been able to diagnose and fix problems the first time.  They have very good warranty on all of their work and they are fast.  The are not always the cheapest but I know that the repair will be done right and they back up their work. The staff is also very good at providing accurate estimates.

I had to go back and get them to replace the same part that they fixed within a week and still, it’s not working right.

Overall, it was about $300 for the last service. I wouldn’t use anybody else since they are honest, affordable, fair, professional and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough good things about them. I have been using their services for about 10 years. I plan to use their services in the future too.
