In January of 2015 I asked Gulfshore to check the size of the duct because my heating and cooling system was running much longer to heat or cool the house. The owner of the company came to my home and measured and calculated and pronounced the system size is correct and the air flow is good. He used his hand to determine if the are flow was sufficient. I hired a different company to come to my home and check the air flow with modern equipment. They determined the total air flow from the new system was about 700 CFM. The system I have was suppose to put out 1150 CFM. So, for the third time I had Gulfshore come out and try to get the system to work properly. Once again I got the owner of the company and a technician. They changed the wiring which increased the fan speed to it's max fan speed. The owner took out an out dated air flow meter and checked the total CFM and amazingly my system was now delivering1265 CFM even though it was only designed to deliver 1150 CFM. So, I bring out the second company to retest the work and claims of Gulfshore. Sure enough the total air flow was only 955 CFM. Gulf shore installed a new duct system that was to small then lied to cover their mistake. Avoid this company.

We were impressed that the first technician was able to diagnose the problem AND get it repaired so quickly.  We couldn't be more pleased that our entire system did NOT need to be replaced.  All three technicians were courteous, informative, and professional.  They were very clean and efficient and seemed genuinely happy to solve our problem so cost effectively.

Of the contractors I had out to our home review our wants/needs,  Steve was the most thorough.  He knew our current system - which was 20 yrs old, and saw things that were needed that the other contractors did not.  He was prompt with follow up and provided a number of options that would work and what each would do for us so that we could make a good, informed decision. Once the contract for service was agreed upon, we set the date set for installation.  His ENTIRE crew were professional, polite, knowledgeable and detail orientated.  When we ran into a duct work issue, they had it solved in very little time. In addition to the installation of our new system , they also cleaned all of our vents and added a 2nd air return. Their attention to detail was much appreciated! And when they were gone, they left no trace of their presence with the exception of a brand new, working Geo Thermal unit... PLUS I think our garage was cleaner then when they arrived!  I can honestly say that of all the contractors I have worked with that have done different jobs in the 3 homes I have owned, Steve and his crew - including the office staff - have been THEE most professional, honest and thorough -  I would not hesitate to recommend them for anybody's heating and air conditioning needs.

The technician removed the old metal main duct and old metal stove pipe supply lines. The old metal duct was about 2 feet to 2 1/2 feet wide and about 10 to 12 inches high. The new duct installed was mold resistant duct board but was very small, only 12 inches square. The difference in size between the old and new main duct cut the air flow to less than half of what it was with the old duct. My monthly electric bill jumped by $40 per month and now my heat pump cooling/heating system runs almost constantly. The technician was also very angry at his company and complained about them most of the day. I wonder if he deliberately installed a very small duct to cause his company trouble. I plan to hire a different company to install a larger and more appropriate sized main duct for my home. Watch out for Gulfshore A/C and chose someone else with a higher number of positive reviews.

After I posted this review I received a phone call a few hours later from a very upset person at Gulfshore A/C. He said he would be willing to send someone to look over the work and correct any problems. I can't give them access to my home until November so I'll post an update then. Pity the work wasn't done correctly from the start.

The technician responded quickly and was very professional. He was very thorough when inspecting the system. I would highly recommend this company.

He's my second opinion. It's a family run business and he said, "I don't have office hours, if you call me and it's an emergency I will come out pretty much whenever you need it." He's the one who came out and he was like, “He told you you need a new air conditioner?” He was laughing. He said I could get a new one but mine is fine, I just need a part replaced. He said he took 5 years out of this one. I'm going to need one eventually but I don't need one right now. I don't know if it's the owner but the guy that came out was really good. He said they'll come out every 6 months and they'll take a look at it and do preventive maintenance on it. "Since I'm already in here, let me use your hose and I'll do it" so I just gave him the hose and he showed me how to clean it myself. Family-run businesses want to earn your business and they know that if they do that then you're going to recommend them to other people. It was very sincere and legitimate. He said “Here's your problem” showing me what was actually broken. “Here's the part that I'm going to replace and this is why you don't need a new air conditioner and these are the things that show that you probably have a few more years left in it and you got to do your best to clean it and it will make it last even longer. I'm very much not after just money, I want your business and I want other people's business because I want to do the right thing.” That's the kind of business that I want to deal with. That's why I recommend them. He was able to come out within an hour of calling him.

We are happy with the service. Most important to us is the fact that they respond promptly to your call and address any issues that you may have.Professional and trustworthy.

My experience with them was very good. They are reliable on what they tell you. They are informative. They sales rep sets up a time and goes over everything, which we liked. You pay for what you want. I would say the price was reasonable. We got other prices and some were a little higher and some were a little lower but not by much. They respond well.

Things went very well overall.Estimate was for equipment we liked - American Standard. We choose the middle visit.
The technicians showed up on time and preformed the job well from start to finish.

They were not able to replace the air-conditioning system before Memorial Day so they brought a loaner air-conditioner unit that pretty much cooled most of my living area. They were very knowledgeable, filled out all the insurance paper work, got that answered so that I could get my cheque and did a nice job of installation.

They took care of the problem for me and stuck with it until they got it straight. They were knowledgeable and professional.

They did a good job. The guys came in and did the work efficiently. They had already provided an estimate and stuck to it. They were complete the service within a day. The service included inside and outside work and they cleaned up thoroughly. There was one little problem with the unit itself which was a manufacturers problem. The problem triggered a noise that shouldn't be occurring. Gulfshore however, was good about quick follow up to correct it. They replaced a part which helped during the first winter. Sadly, the noise came back the 2nd winter and we called them again. Unfortunately, we couldn't get the noise to trigger when they were here and they indicated they couldn't do anything about it if they couldn't locate the problem. Unfortunately the noise is still there with the heating and they've not been quite as quick to respond a second time. I was a bit frustrated about that.
