I have brought our oldest cat here twice in the past year, and she was seen by Dr. Jason Harris each time. I could not have been more pleased with the care we received here. On the most recent visit, about 3 weeks ago, we made the decision to euthanize as she was 21 and had developed a painful and fatal condition. At times like that the owner needs as much care as the pet and Dr. Harris was superb. I am very grateful to him and his staff.

I initially went to Dr. Harris for a second opinion regarding an abscess on my dog. He provided a scrub for it and some antibiotics to help clear it up, plus his staph infection. My dog at that time was also having excessive skin problems. Dr. Harris was able to recognize that the staph infection and skin problems were related, and attributed it to allergies. He gave him a cortisone shot and we waited to see if that would help heal it. Well after a couple trips to the vet and several rounds of antibiotics, Dr. Harris put him on a special diet which FINALLY cleared up his skin and allergy problems.
Overall, Dr. Harris was very patient and on several occasions didn't charge me for an office visit because my dog kept coming back in from different problems. In addition, because my dog is soooo shy and nervous, Dr. Harris makes an effort each time for my dog to get used to him. While I often have to wait 20-25 minutes to be seen, I will still continue to go there. Dr. Harris also often offers at home treatments I can give my dog when he is having problems, like benadryl which saves me money. His prices are very good, and I have never spent more than $140 while I was there. I had one problem with a staff member at the front desk, but that was an isolated incident.
I would highly recommend for anyone in Niceville looking for a good doctor.

I have had many animals and I have been using them for at least ten years. My vet Dr. Scott Harris is great. They take very good care of the animals, I have actually had animals put down there, and they are just overall, wonderful. They love animals firstly, so they are really good with them, they accommodate them and try to make them comfortable because they are not usually happy going to the vet. I haven't priced others, but I don't think they are outrageous and I think they are probably within the same price range.

Dr. Harris has been our vet since we moved to the area in 2007. He displays a great love of dogs and we think he's very special. We had to put one of our dogs down a couple of years ago, due to age related problems and he went above and beyond what we expected of a vet in this situation. We've never before encountered the level of caring and compassion we experienced from him at such a difficult time. We continue to bring our younger dog to him. His staff generally share the same attitude, although sometimes the front desk staff can be a little cool.

They got two different vets at Bluewater Bay Animal Hospital. It's very to get an appointment and I never had to wait. If I had a sick cat, I always get in the same day. They're pretty much available to you. Today, he gave me his cellphone number so if my cat is sick or if the shot doesn't work I can call him and get right back in. They're A on everything. Their whole staff is very compassionate and kind.

Just having relocated from out of state, I called ahead to see if this local vet prescribed the medicine my cat needs. I was told yes, booked an appt, came in. I was greeted in the cluttered and grubby foyer by a lab tech in jeans and shabby t-shirt (no lab coat). He whisked me into a room past several dogs and cats milling around without crates - evidently the resident animal farm. I found it quite peculiar to have animals roaming freely in what already was a stressful situation (vet) for the treated animals. The lab tech began rummaging around in my vet records, eager to administer a rabies shot before even inquiring my pet's age, s**, history, or current complaint. Soon another casual young man showed up (Dr Harris was absent ) and told me their clinic doesn't work with the prescription my cat needs, and the secretary had misinformed. I asked to leave and they graciously showed me the door. A waste of time and not a good approach.

Dr. Harris is highly skilled, professional, tough when necessary, kind, nurturing, and empathetic. His diagnoses skills surpass those of other vets I've used in the past. Our animals, and those of our friends, receive the appropriate treatment the first time with Dr. Harris, and that not only saves time and money, but a great deal of anxiety. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Harris. I highly recommend him.
