Kelowitz, Dr. Richard

The faculty practice was in June. Dr. Richard Kelowitz is more reachable, knowledgeable and gives good advice.

I tried to arrive early because this office is at a major teaching hospital. The parking is a few blocks away and can be confusing. I have been often enough, however, to know to come early enough to park so far away in the garage.I walked into the office and checked in. This is a very privacy oriented office - when you sign in, you can see any of the other names. The clerk at the desk if friendly and seems to remember me. I waited about five minutes and was called back to the exam room. Dr. Kelowitz came right in and spoke with me about any issues. I told her I had some anxiety about dental care, so I think he was especially gentle with me. He did the exam quickly and chatted as he examined my teeth. I had an issue with one tooth, so he ordered an x-ray of only that tooth, which I appreciated from both a financial and an overall health perspective. He told me that my home care was good,and that I could see the hygenist every six months, and him next year. He escorted me out of the exam area. I walked to the check out desk and paid the bill. They are especially engaging there and made my appointment for next year as well as making sure I had my parking voucher (parking is now free with the voucher). I walked out the parking lot and checked out with the voucher.
