In April 2012, I contracted with Mr. Holder to put additions to the sprinkler systems he had previous installed. As I was going out of town and he was a trusted worker around my house, I paid him in advance thinking the job would get done. Huge mistake. It is now 6/2013 and the work, which would only take a few more minutes, is still incomplete. He has been called numerous times, promises to get back to me or no shows. Mr. Holder did a lot of work for me in 2009 - 2010 and it was a great experience with most projects: carpentry, cabinet installation, the initial sprinkler system, laminate flooring, etc. etc., all done in a timely fashion with a great price and hassle-free. It is because of those experiences that I am giving him a C as some projects were A's and some were F's. Its an average. Besides the sprinkler, two other jobs had very annoying conclusions: 1. He put a beautiful deck on the back of the house using bad wood that cracked immediately throughout. To make matters worse, he nailed directly into the wood rather than pre-drilling so there are large cracks at every nail. 2. A gutter was installed which has never worked. The pitch isn't high enough at the far end for the water to move towards the downspout. It is really hard to have to write this negative review as Mr. Holder is a very nice person and was a joy to know and work with on so many projects where he did an excellent job.
