Sun Coast Roofing has approximately 30 to 40 employees all that work directly for the company with no sub-contracting. Most of our work is done to completion before any payment is needed for the job. We carry the best warranties in the roofing industry backed by the largest manufacturer of roofing materials in North America. Still trying to get my issues fixed due to very poor quality of roofing done and after new gutters (also by them) were put on wrong it exposed so many detrimental errors. Roof was put on in the beginning of May of 2021 and the old gutters were put back on correctly (which hid all of the issues and had it pass inspection) the new gutters were put on a month later incorrectly but exposing all of the issues. We are now in August still waiting for the issues to be resolved. The rep that comes out named Shawn has been been very informative and kind but definitely don’t speak to Danielle in the office because she is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been very patient and kind but have been losing my kindness and patience very quickly. Hopefully the incorrect issues will be fixed because we came to this company because of their reputation and the kind rep. Not sure why we got stuck with such a horrible job. Hoping to post a better update with a better review once this issue is resolved.

It took a week for the work to be completed during which time, it rained and the roof leaked. Once the work was completed, all seemed fine for a few years but now the roof is leaking again. It is under warranty. They have made two appointments to assess the problem and not called or shown up for either. I have to pay someone to meet them so it is not only costing time but money and more damage to the property.

The service manager called you directly and apologized for him missing your appointment and had someone out there to take care of you on a weekend and also said he would take care of any issues. As for your roof, and the bad grade, your roof has withstood two hurricanes With no damage and this is the first issue you have had, It's not the easiest job in the world running around on the top of roofs in the rain but we are trying our best. Please don't worry, even with this great review that you have given, I will make sure the repair team makes it right"

1. exceedingly long time between making down payment and work being commenced. 2. Glib salesman, with no follow-up communication after contract signing and making deposit. 3. Hispanic workmen who spoke NO English. 4. Workmen destroyed soffit, damaged new porch railing, broke a tiled concrete porch step, and damaged attic lighting fixtures with their clumsy and rough treatment. 5. Company had to be pressured to provide Final Building Inspection. 6. It was only through withholding final payment, that they agreed to provide marginal relief.

Not good! Work not done when promised. Owner would never return phone calls. We were told that porch roof was completed when in fact it was never started. Salesman lied to us many times.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], I do apologize for your experience with my company. I looked into the issue that you spoke about with your installation. As you are aware of, we had a hurricane that hit our area and we were more then overwhelmed. The estimator that came out to your house did his best to get your roof done in less than 30 days. At the time we were at a minimum of (4) months to get a roof done. We were actually scheduling inspections six to seven weeks out. There is no other company in the area that could of removed and replace your roof in less time. We had to go through your home owners association to get the approval and then hope that the supply house had material to do your roof in the color that they approved. To say the least, things were very hectic and we still were able to get your roof done in less than 45 days from the time you signed. I just don't understand that in a time of a natural disaster that you waited almost 8 months to say anything. Again my apologies"

The roof looks beautiful except for the two further ends at the peak where there is tile that is missing, about 2-3 feet on each end. Nolan Smith (insurance specialist) told me that they were also going to replace the siding on the house as well. They have yet to do anything with the siding. They told me it was going to be $9800.00 and then they raised it to $11000.00. Then Nolan Smith told me that I owed him $1082.00 for his commission. Because of that, I bounced 6 checks at $35.00 a piece. I thought they were going to be decent but I am livid about this situation. All the work that they told they told the insurance company that they were going to do, they did not do. So they also jipped the insurance company. I would not recommend them to anyone.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], You signed a detailed contract for $11,000. The contract stated that we would remove and replace the entire roof system along with removing the two dormers. Nothing on the contract states anything about siding. We have processed this with the State [Member Information Removed] Florida and the BBB and found that we did nothing wrong. You signed a contract for $11,000. We fought your insurance company for you and they gave you over $18,000 for the damages done to your home. This is $8,000 more than their initial offering to you. Your roof is completed and we have had the county building department come out and do the inspections and have passed all [Member Information Removed] them. If we were hired to do all [Member Information Removed] the work from your insurance company, you would [Member Information Removed] had to pay the entire $18,000 to us. It's amazing when we do exactly what we were asked [Member Information Removed] and help someone get the financial reimbursement from their insurance company and this is what we get. Wish there was a grade for clients."
