Sam, Patrick and Jim did a wonderful job painting our house. My wife and I were very impressed with their attention to detail and their eagerness to go above and beyond just painting. Patrick reinstalled my house numbers and shutters after painting them which he didn't have to do. They were prompt, professional and all were easy to talk to. We would HIGHLY recommend Sam's for any painting job.

It's a husband and wife team, the wife came, I never met Sam. She was very nice, I got the feeling that she was filling in for him.The quality was not good enough to call them to come back. There was some problem with the paint, he had locked it in the car and taken it with him. She couldn't find him, so I didn't have the right paint.

"This is unfortunate that this person was dissatisfied with our goodwill to help her repair & paint in her condominium before her daughter's wedding in October of 2015. The paper was removed and painted in the kitchen at no charge for time or material to help her out due to her circumstances. We were going to do additional work without charge, she had time constraints. I recall last contact with her was she had someone do the work. We sincerely do not understand why 16 months later she decided to write this when we offered our time without anything in return."

Patrick from Sam's Painting came out and gave us an estimate. He was higher than the other bids that we received, however, his bod was detailed, précised, and he provided information on the quality of paint, number of coats, and necessary prep work. When they came to do the work, they were fastidious in making sure that the floors were covered, and everything that required protecting was completely covered. He provided timely information on how the job was going, and any challenges that they incurred. They painted the ceiling so well, that it looks like a brand new ceiling. The doors, jambs, and baseboards were perfect when they completed. I was even offered a color consultant to make sure that we chose the best color to match the flooring, wall tiles and etc. With the bright white ceiling and the base trim, the whole house just pops! Because of the great work Sam's Painting did, and of course Patrick, our rental property is ready, set and up for new occupants. They also used the best paint on the market- which I appreciated greatly. We will use them again and again. Great service and museum quality work :) Thank you, Paula :)

Sam's painting completely repainted my 1000 sq ft beach home, including the piers it sits up on, front and back decks, pressure washing and caulking prior to painting. Their communication was excellent--they kept me apprised of their progress along the way. The work was very well done! They use high quality paint, and really made the house look cheerful and beachy!

They showed up on time, worked consistently until the job was finished. They were neat and polite and very efficient. Their price was better than two other quotes we received. They recommended the right paint for the job and completed it on time.

Sam was very thorough in evaluating the scope of the project and providing a detailed estimate. We are doing a sequence of renovations, and Sam was able to work within the various trade schedules. He and his crew protected all of the clay tile and did a wonderful job with cleanup. They worked consistently around off-and-on thunderstorms and were meticulous in doing edgings and trim work. He uses high quality Sherwin Williams Duration paint, which we have used in the past, and it really holds up to the sun and weather. Sam and his staff are very pleasant to work with, and they are very responsive to phone calls and our questions.

Sam came everyday, did not rush the job. Prepped, taped painted, cleaned as he went and after he was done! He even caulked some spots and filled some concrete gals! The house still looks wonderful and it's been four years or more!

From start to finish, Sam was great. After the initial call, Sam himself came out the next day to take a look at our house and get an idea what needed to be done. I got a quote in my email a day later..
After I accepted the quote, he came by and we discussed colors, and then he came by again the next day with some additional colors to look at, and ultimately, he brought out some paint samples so we could see how it would look on the wall.
From start to finish, it took about a week and a half to complete the work. I believe they would have been done a lot quicker if the weather was co-operating a little better, but hey, it's the summer.
They came out, pressure washed the outside, cleared away a lot of stuff we had around the house. Some strange design decisions were made by the previous painters (e.g.; some trim was painted the same color as the house, not the trim color, the gutters were weird), every time Sam encountered something unusual, he would check with us before proceeding.
The house looks amazing. They cleaned up their work area each day quite well, and left no mess at all.
I would definitely use Sam's again if we need anything painted.

Sam did a great job. He and his crew were professional and prompt. Paid attention to all the details. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I also thought his price was very reasonable considering the amount of prep work required on the house as it hadn't been painted in a very long time.

He showed up every morning promptly at 8AM. He was meticulous. Cleaned up after himself every day. He did everything I expected and more. I do not find one thing that isn't perfect. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone who needs a painter.

After getting 3 quotes to paint the outside of my vacation home, I decided on Sam's Painting. From the very beginning it was a pleasure dealing with Susan in the office as well as Patrick, Sam's son in law, who did the painting. They were all professional, easy to deal with and very responsive to the additional work of putting on shutters that I requested. Since I was managing the project from a distance, i was worried about surprises with the job. Sam's Painting communicated with me via phone and/or e-mail before anything was done and they kept me informed every step of the way. They also painted 2 small patches of the colors we were considering and sent me pictures to help us decide. The quality of the paint job was excellent and they took the time to do it right. I would recommend Sam's Painting to all my friends and neighbors, and plan to use them again in the future to paint the inside of my house.

"The work completed for the soffits and gables was in September 2013. We contacted the customer immediately when the review was posted regarding the statement for gable color. The customer did not contact us to tell us this. (member name removed) stated that he was very satisfied, we did a good job and felt it was because it was the sunny side of the house and there was nothing we could do about that, he also said he has referred us to others. We always want to be sure we have done everything we possibly can to provide excellent service."

They did such a good job. They painted the entire exterior of my home. This was on a 2 story home. They supplied the paint, they pressure washed and cleaned. About 3 painters came to do this work and it took them about a week. We heard about this company through Angie’s List. They did a very good job at very good price. He was a gentlemen, he was nice to do business with, and he was very trustworthy.

Original quote was $1650, additional items such as additional primer and some repair of boards brought it to $1950. Due to no power or water at the house at the time they worked with our neighbor to have the water and power needed ( our neighbors were very helpful there, and Sam was helpful in arranging things). I talked to Susan on the phone many times talking about the job, since we had to work it out long distance at the time, Susan was always very helpful and friendly. Sam did much of the work himself, bringing in a crew after prepping. We have wood siding, he replaced a few rotted wood boards. It took about 4 days working around some occasional rain to complete. The last day we found there were some missed spots and the eaves needed another coat, I called Susan and she took care of it right away, Sam was there the next morning making sure nothing else was missed.
Pro's- Very easy to work with, friendly, listened to all our concerns. Punctual, helpful. They worked with us with the utility situation, and they were happy to make it right when we saw areas that needed attention. A new, much needed paint job, finally done :)
Con's- The price was higher than we originally budgeted for and overall it felt pretty expensive, but we are glad it is done. We knew there might be additional expenses, we took their bid even though we felt it was expensive because of the reviews here on Angie's list suggested they were folks we could trust to do a good job.
Sam and Susan are great people, I would recommend their painting service anytime.
