MILLENNIUM TRAVEL & PROMOTIONS

Over a period of several months, we sent Millennium Travel over $1500.00 for air fare, condo rental, etc; we chose 3 different dates that we could travel. Over the next 9 months, we received letters informing us that the first 2 dates were not available; it would stand to reason that we would be guaranteed the 3rd date. As the last date neared, they sent us a letter dated a week before it was mailed stating that we had to send the balance we owed via a bank draft by a date only a few days after we received the letter. We complied, sending the bank draft and obtaining proof of mailed from the USPS. My wife then called them the following week with some travel questions related to our trip, only to be told that we had failed to send the funds by the deadline. She argued to no avail, and they informed us that our travel with them was cancelled and that we would receive a refund. They did return the bank draft, and then later sent us a check for the money we had prepaid, but the overwhelming frustration here is that they wasted so much of our time. I was not able to find any reviews of this company on Angie's List, but since have found much negative information on them, including the BBB website. They seem to have made a habit out of luring people to send them money, and then finding some excuse for cancelling their customers' travel plans. I have not figured out their angle, unless they do this in volume and draw interest on the funds that they collect and hold from unwary potential travelers. My reason for reporting them here is not to "get even", I am not out any money, only the time and frustration. I would advise anyone considering travelling to avoid this company.
