This apartment was trashed by the previous occupants. We renovated the place, painted all the walls and exterminated the pests, but we still needed a good thorough cleaning to get the place up to speed. Marcie walked in fearlessly, took on all the challenges, and left the place sparkling!! I've used her twice since on less challenging jobs, and each time she has delivered flawlessly! She's been flexible and very reliable. If you need a place cleaned well from top to bottom, Marcie will deliver. So glad I found her!!

Marci's staff are well trained personally by Marci. She sets very high standards which may take a new staff person a few visits to achieve. We have used this service for several years and have continued the relationship because they follow a well prepared regimen yet are flexible enough to meet any special requests we may make. We have been offered lower cost services, but are very comfortable that we are getting value for the fee. We have also used Marci's to care for our home when we are away. She has demonstrated reliability and initiative when needed.

We have been having Marcie's Home Detailing and her staff clean our home for the past 8 years. She was recommended to us by Pat Simpson who at that time was a realtor in the Spruce Creek Fly In and Marcie and her staff cleaned condos, apartments and homes for her. She is excellent as well as her current staff. Whenever we have had a problem with someone doing sub-standard work, which has happened during the past few times, I notified Marcie and she corrected the issue immediately. I understand these employees are no longer employees of her company. A good example is yesterday when she and her staff member cleaned our home.It hasn't looked this good in a long time. We even commented to each other later in the evening how clean everything looks and smells. Marcie is always very professional, friendly, courteous and very accommodating. Her prices are very reasonable too. I have and always will recommend MARCIE'S HOME DETAILING as she is the only company I trust and feel very confident that now with her current staff and her we will continue to get a job well done. Thank you Marcie for making our home look so good. Can't imagine anyone saying anything negative about this company unless it could be a disgruntled former employee.

Like the other reviewer, she price gouged us big time. The small one bedroom/one bath apartment was freshly painted prior to her cleaning and she charged $225. When I asked her why, she told me her and quot;girlsand quot; had to clean down all the walls from the nicotine. When I told her that did not make any sense since the apartment had just been painted the week before, she said she was referring to a small paneled wall area. During the cleaning, she texted me that her girls were not going to waste any more time wiping down the blinds because they needed to be replaced in her opinion! The entire apt. is about 500 sq. ft. and she over-charged for her service - $225.00 - and didn't tell me the price until after they were done and I called her to ask. She took it upon herself to remove a table and 3 large bags to the curb which I did not want her to do or ask her to do, but which she felt she could charge me for. She gossiped about me to a neighbor which was very unprofessional. In my opinion, steer clear of this cleaning service!!
Response from Marcie's Home Detailing
"It is very unfortunate that with the strike of a keyboard people can say things so out of depth of a true situation and take it upon themselves to harm someone’s reputation. I was called by this client through Angie's list referral, I have cleaned her home twice and she was very happy. The client is the manager of a small mobile home park. When she asked if my company would clean a small apartment above her small garage I was happy to accommodate and we scheduled the home cleaning first which was on 8/21/13 for $60.00 to which the balance has NOT been paid. As her home is tidy I anticipated a respectable landlord situation in cleaning her rental. This was not the case as we are in hot central Florida and we attempted to clean an upstairs apartment that was sweltering hot and rat infested. The apartment had no working A/C and was used as a garbage dump that had a nicotine and grease coating on everything that was not newly painted. This includes cabinet doors, votives from three ceiling fans, and a large panel wall that were coated and required extra attention. This is not a problem but is very time consuming. There were small aluminum blinds that were also covered in heavy film and I did not want to waste the owners time and money when they clearly needed to be replaced and there was no sink or tub to accommodate soaking them; not to mention that the strings holding them together were dry rotting. On the stove the burner pans were so old they literally were disintegrating with rust from years of never neglect. I have several before and after picture; and in good faith took it upon myself to buy new burner pans, light bulbs and votives in order for her to show the apartment with lights and matching votives on all ceiling fans. This was after we washed and scrubbed the original votives of the yellow nicotine film that everything was covered with. Three construction garbage bags were filled in order to properly start to clean this apartment. The cabinets, fridge, and bathroom were full of trash, empty coffee cans, various plastic wires, rotten food, large quantities of Winn-Dixie/Publix bags, empty aluminum cans and glass bottles … Gathering and disposing of all this trash took two people an hour and we charge for our time spent working. Cleaning the apartment would have been impossible had we not removed the refuse. I called and informed the owner the process and the A/C being non operational, and at the time I had an Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist come look at the wall unit for the client and we agreed that we would come back and continue to clean once it was fixed. Time went on and the client didn't want to pay for another small a/c window unit; and as the weather got cooler we came back and finished the apartment in 3.5 total work hours, not including the purchase of items needed for the apartment. After the client finished inspecting the apartment and explained over the phone that she was happy with the results, she then stated that she was not willing to pay the invoice amount for such a small apartment. After attempting to call the client several times without an answer, the client began to harass me by sending numerous threatening text messages. After finally getting a hold of the client’s husband, we then agreed upon a revised price that was below my cost in order to please the client. Our employees strive to keep the customer happy and are not afraid to work hard, but despite our best efforts the client was focused on being hostile and unwilling to communicate in a professional manner. Marcie’s home detailing has been as accommodating as possible in this matter, but in the end we feel that we were taken advantage of."

I have used her for about four years. She is very prompt, thorough and professional. You could bounce a dime off the bed everything was like a fancy hotel after she left. It was so clean when you walked in it was heavenly. She cleans the chandelier, ceiling fans and I will use her again in the future. I wish I could have her all the time.
