Jon McGrew Garage Doors

This Company misrepresented it self saying they were Affiliated with Linear Garage Doors Openers.. So knowing that Linear Is the #1 Garage Door Company in the Country i felt secure knowing of them And their warranty. So on 04/06/2016 i had this company McGrew install a new garage door with the Linear opener, in February of 2019 my Garage door broke so i called This so called McGrew garage door company & no one would answer the phone this went on 6 days! Then i finally got a call back from the wife of the owner of said company an proceeded to make excuses why she doesn't answer the phone. I was just happy to finally have the help i needed i thought.. So she made an appointment for a few days from then. they sent a kid to my home he told me i needed 3 parts HAE00047 Helical and worm gears HAE00048 Helical Gear HAE00004 Limit Switch Assembly Which i told him it was under warranty and i had been calling for days, And my neighbor Mr. Jack came out and said i thought that company went out of Business because they did not answer their phone when he needed them to fix his Garage door. That when the Kid said they hired him to save their company and im going turn it round and phone will be answered. So long story short, So he went back to the lady and told her i talked bad about them, All i said to him is they need to answer their phones. So she emailed me that she would not stand behind her husbands company . I called Linear to see if they could help me with the parts that are under Warranty they said i have go back to the distributor, Then they ask the name of this so called distributor i said Jon McGrew Gargare Doors He looked it up and said they are not one of are Distributor ... So i have no warranty I spend all most $2000 thinking i was covered.. Then i started looking on line i found all kind of bad review and One of them got to me she actually answer the phone and cuss the lady out. So i still can open my garage Door.. So if your Looking for established Garage Door Company Look Elsewhere.

Great, it is working great..no more problems. They told us what to do if small problems arise.

Top notch all the way around. All my other contractors seem to know Jon and all have great respect for his work. Even the inspector smiled and said, "Oh yes, Jon does excellent work". And a final shout out to Teddi and Jonny. What a team!

We had to replace our garage door so I start looking into finding an installer. Contacted Jon McGrew Garage Doors and talked to Teddi on the phone. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting the different types of doors available. She was able to provide estimates over the phone and set up an appointment for Jon to come out that afternoon. Jon was right on time, measured the door, talked more about the doors and we finalize the contract. Teddi handled all the scheduling including the permit inspection. Jonnie did a quality install of an American made door. It was such a pleasure to find a local family owned and operated business were everyone was honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. The door was busted and we made two appointment with  Ed Tinsdall who never showed up.  Call Ed's wife and she told us we should look elsewhere.  To be accurate, it was with Ed's son... since Ed the elder is dead.

We found Jon on your list of vendors for New Smyrna.   We called and he showed up on time and offered a set fee for fixing the door.  (Problem was the door intermittently would not close all the way; but with more attempts it would close eventually. So it appeared to a layman it was an issue with opener's programming.)

However, after Jon began to work on the opener  it was soon apparent that there was far more wrong.  Jon found one problem; and then another; and then another; and other.... by now it was two hours going on three.

Jon spend time on the Internet because after all  this the opener had to be reprogrammed and the model number was generic. 

I felt that his price was based on a routine service call.  The Tinsdall installation was  shoddy that the corrections took a lot more time.  I told Jon that he was doing a lot more work than a standard service call.  He refused more money. In the end I simply but the cash in his hand ($40.00) and insisted he keep it.

Since then about two weeks now ... everything is fine and working properly.

This is a local family business, and it shows in the care and the quality given in every step. As new homeowners this was our first major purchase, and Teddi took the time to walk us through everything. She patiently went through all of the options and configurations to find the door that was right for us. Jon and Jon Jr. were friendly, professional, and fast. McGrew and co. went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right, and to ensure we were satisfied customers. 
On top of all that, they are priced better than anyone you'll find out there. Another company we called wanted $35 *just to show up* and give us a quote. The big box store tried to sell us a door alone (w/o even talking about install, etc) at the price we paid McGrew for the whole package, motor and install included. 
Jon McGrew and his team are the real deal! Give 'em a call and you'll see right away what I'm talking about.

Needed some help installing an attic ladder, so I contacted Jon McGrew Garage Doors. They were able to give me a quote that same day. Jon himself arrive on-time and completed the job with no issues. He even re-routed my garage door wires so they would not interfere with the attic decking. Would call Jon again in a heartbeat, great job.
