Before I contacted Jay I spent the time to meet with sub contractors for all the jobs I wanted done. I met with about 2 different subs for each project...like the A/C, the Windows/doors, etc...just to get familiar with what kind of price range I could expect. Then I called Jay and he came out and his quote was right on the money. He even offered some additional upgrades which I hadn't thought of. He is very knowledgable about building and knows his stuff and his ideas prove that.
Pros: Originally I wanted to go with a hardy-board siding, but Jay talked me into a vinyl siding, and I could not be happier with it. It looks great, and it requires less maintenance. I had not thought of re-doing the soffit/fascia but Jay recommended this vinyl cover which looks great and it really finishes off the house. At the beginning he was very prompt and would return my calls right away, he spent time at the site directing his guys to do this and that and really ran a tight ship. The siding looks great, he really knows his stuff and finished everything he said he would. He also stuck to his word and the price we agreed upon up front was the price we paid. I'm very happy with the work Jay did and I think he really went all out.
Cons: A few nit-picky inspectors found a couple minor minor things...that were easily fixed.
Overall very pleased with the experience. Jay kept to his word and did what he said he would and then some. He finished the job to the entirety and was prompt in fixing any problems along the way.
"The pictures where doing a hurricane , the sliding glass door in the picture was designed to hold water, as per all sliding glass doors. The house was supplied with hurricane shutters, they where not used. There is no windows leaks and no evidence of of a leak."
