Had the doors, windows, deck, and exterior stairs on my home replaced by Coomber. The planning was quick and easy and the projects were started and completed in a timely fashion by skilled, reliable crews. Highly recommended!

Poor quality work or errors with no interest from the company in correcting. In fact, asked for more money to correct the issues. Also wanted payment before the job was completed and refused to complete the contracted items until after final payment. Poor communication from the beginning to end. No interest in customer satisfaction. No, I would never use this company for anything ever again. The owner will likely respond that it was my poor design (it wasn’t) or that I had unreasonable expectations (I did not) - I just believe that if you accept money to do a job you should put forth the effort to ensure that job is done properly and in a quality manner.

We chose Coomber because of reputation but also obtained a competitive bid. The other contractor had excellent reputation, but bid came in about 50% higher. Paperwork and communications were by-the-book. The quality of work was excellent. Coomber came in on budget (including a change order) but about two months after proposed date of completion. Fortunately, we were in no hurry and would certainly work with him again.

Everything is going well, and it has been a great experience.  The owner has been on site helping with the work, he responds quickly to any issues that I had, and he as well as his crew are doing an excellent job.   They do a great job of cleaning up after themselves, too.

I have nothing but praise for Coomber Construction Company and the utmost respect for Mr. James Coomber, himself.   He is prompt, efficient, dependable, and a man of his word.  He remained calm and patient as he worked with me to make my vision of what turned out to be a rather complicated kitchen renovation a reality.   Oftentimes he pitched in and did the actual work himself.  It was not uncommon to have him arrive on the jobsite after the crew had departed to further clean the construction site to ensure that my home was left in the best possible condition overnight.  His standard response to any problem with which I presented him was,  "Okay.  I'll take care of it."  And he did.

I highly recommend this company.

Didn't start project until four weeks later than the agreed start date, then some weeks no one showed up at all. One week we called to find out why construction had stopped, and didn't hear back for 7 days, with no explanation except "sorry, I went out of town." Construction took twice as long as agreed. The toilet is not centered in it's location, nor is the bathtub. The light fixture was not centered on the vanity (note that all of these things were purchased in order to allow the contractors to have proper measurements before construction began). We called him to come over to fix the issues, and he did have the vanity moved, but then it destroyed the wall and fresh paint, and he did not fix that. He insisted that the tub was centered (it is obviously not if you measure the wall) and that the toilet is off center because they thought the vanity was going to be larger (despite the fact that we had the vanity before construction began). He refused to fix the issue, and insisted that we pay him the final payment. I would never use this contractor again!
