US Airconditioning and Heating

I was convinced into buying a brand new setup. I was told that it was far more economical and I was actually save money with a new system. I have since received two electric bills that have not gone down at all. also they told me they would give me a thermostat with my unit have made to arrangements and I still have no thermostat. the salesman misled me and straight out lied to me. I find them very untrustworthy.

When I placed the call requesting service, I was told that the service call fee was $79 and that if a problem was found, that fee would be applied to the listed labor cost. The unit is still under manufacturer warranty. The service technician found a relay switch that had gone bad, which is a part still under warrant. He said the labor cost for that item was $118. I questioned the price as I thought it was quite high since the part itself was still under warranty. He told me the labor included driving the bad part back to the distributor to change it out for a good part and then driving back to my house for installation, or I could just "purchase" the part he had on the truck already. Either way, it would cost the same amount. Not knowing what to do at that point, I agreed for him to install a the part he had on the truck. When I went to pay, the $118, he said, no, you owe $207. He charged me the service call fee + the $118 relay/installation fee. When I explained to him what I was told on the phone, he said I was given incorrect information. He said the service call fee is $89 and it is always in addition to the labor/part fee. He told me he could waive that fee if I agreed to a one year service plan. Since I had to pay it anyway, I took the service plan. (Since then, I have decided not to use the service plan and hire another company to service our unit.) I wanted to see what Rheem, the manufacturer, had to say about how US Air handled the replacement part, so I gave them a call. They explained to me that contractors can replace the part with parts from the truck and get reimbursed at a later date when they present the defective part. He further explained that they can wait until they have several defective parts before they make the exchange. I also called several other Heating and Air contractors to see how much they would charge to replace a relay switch that is under warranty and each one said the same thing....that for something that simple, they would only charge their standard service fee, which ranged from $59 - $89. Not one of them said anything about having to drive anywhere to exchange the part, nor did they say anything about an additional labor charge.

Worst customer service ever Do your research, go with a smaller family based loyal business!

They arrived puntually. The installers were very professional and explained thoroughly what they were going to do and why. Upon completion they cleaned up and left my home clean. I was very impressed and would recommend them.

The team from US Air-conditioning was excellent. I had full intentions of replacing my entire system when it went down. I had 3 reps in total come out for quotes. Bryan of US Air-conditioning performed a thorough inspection of the compressor system, went up into the attic and examined the handler, measured, evaluated accessibility, best location etc. He was up there on a hot day for an easy 30 minutes. The other two companies barley peeked in the attic and assessed nothing. I received an itemized quote of everything involved from US AC. Every hanger, nut bolt, filter, piping everything including permits. The other companies only a preprinted summary. Then to top it off, US Air-conditioning hooked up a loner unit for me to use until the install was completed the following week. At NO EXTRA CHARGE ! and they were still the lowest quote. The following week, Eddie and Joey came on time, ready to work and installed the completed system, removed the old system with professionalism and courtesy. These two installers liked their jobs, the company they work for and their coworkers. My old system was a dinosaur and when I saw on the quote 8 hours for removal and install of the new one, I thought, no way. I was sure it would be more like 10 hours. I was correct. They worked 12 hours in the heat and cramped spacing of my attic without a complaint. And no extra charges for the additional 4 hours they spent. I can only assume based on the three representatives I intervened with from US AC, that the rest of the team must be of the same caliper. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone. They are now my official AC guys.

I used them for my rental property. My experience with them has been extraordinary! They are patient, thorough, and very honest! They never try to sell you anything you do not need. Their professionalism is great; they are always dressed appropriately, they show you their ID badge before working, and they are very tidy. I believe they go above and beyond what they have to, I love that about them. They have always been on top of their service calls, they are very caring, and their prices are very reasonable. Even the office staff is very pleasant and helpful.
