I canceled the cruise on July 25th and was told that it would be taken care of that afternoon. Waiting a week without results, I called again on August 2nd and was again told that my credit card was credited and that it would take time. Friday August 5th I checked with my credit card company and was told that there was nothing indicating a credit to my account and that it should take no more than 3 to 5 business days before a credit reflected. I then called Regan Cruise and Travel and left a message to that effect. Monday, August 8, I received a call from Regan and was told again that I needed to wait and that the credit card company didn't know what they were talking about. I asked for a confirmation number and was told that she needed to check the file and would call me right back. I waited over an hour and called again. I heard the lady I spoke to in the background saying "what does he want now". She then got on the line and gave me my cancellation number, which was the same as my booking number. I told her I wanted a confirmation number for the $500.00 credit to my account. I was told that "they" would have to email it to me. When I asked who "they" were, I was told it was Traveler's Insured. Both my wife and I attempted to get resolution of the credit in several phone conversations with Ragan. The travel agent at that agency was rude, argumentative, defensive and very unprofessional. She changed her 'story' of how the refund would be handled 3 times in the conversations. We asked for some type of confirmation that the money would be credited and really received no satisfactory response. When we requested a overnite or priority mail letter with confirmation information, we were told that our ' transaction with them didn't warrant her spending any extra money for mailing.". I DO NOT RECOMMEND this agency for ANY travel needs you may have. I had heard from others that Ragan was not easy to work with, but now I KNOW that to be true, first hand. Take your business elsewhere where you will be treated with respect and with competency. ...

I thought they were excellent. We paid a deposit for the cruise and we paid for the travel insurance. They were really excellent to deal with although we have not gone on the trip yet. They are extremely knowledgeable. They get a commission from the cruise line and when she found out what that was they split that commission with us so that reduced our cost.
