The technicial quickly found a foreign object (clear plastic large bee-bee pellet) in the inlet to the water softener which blocked any water from going into the machine to be processed. Very polite and professional. Took 3 days before they could come to see me which is normal with them.
Description of Work: Water softener failed to operate following a service call made previously 5 weeks prior. Problem was it failed to process the water coming into the home from Pinallas County Water Utilities.

VERY EXPENSIVE, UNRELIABLE EQUIPMENT, SIX SERVICE VISITS FOR THE EQUIPMENT IN FIRST TEN MONTHS. INSTALLATION DRAINAGE PROBLEMS GENERATED, AND REFUSES TO RETEST WATER AS THEY DID DURING INSTALLATION. MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP NEVER AVAILABLE WHEN ONE PHONES AND REQUESTS TO SPEAK WITH THEM. UPDATE AFTER SP RESPONSE: IF THEY TESTED THE WATER HOW DID THEY DO IT WITHOUT THE OWNER'S KNOWLEDGE? ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OWNER HAS ALWAYS BEEN PRESENT, AND ALWAYS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED THEM TO DO SUCH. THEY HAVE NEVER DONE MORE THAN TURN THE WATER ON TO SEE IF IT FLOWED.
Description of Work: AS NEW RESIDENT HAD WATER TESTED AND IT FAILED ALL TESTS. PURCHASED WATER SOFTNER AND INSTALLATION FROM RAINSOFT DIV OF DAYSTAR MARKETING. HAVE HAD MANY EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS AND VERY POOR AND SLOW SERVICE. HAVE REQUESTED THEY TEST THE WATER LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY SOLD THE SYSTEM AND THEY REFUSE TO DO SO. COMPETITIVE COMPANIES HAS STATED WATER WAS NOT GOOD STILL. METAL COOK WEAR DAMAGED IN DISHWASHER. WAS REPLACED.

THE SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED PROPERLY & A FOLLOW UP VISIT WAS DONE TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION/COMPLETION. SIX SERVICE CALLS WERE PERFORMED OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS. EVERY SINGLE VISIT/SERVICE WAS DONE 24 TO 48 HOURS FROM THE TIME OF REQUEST. SERVICE TECH TESTED WATER & RECORDED TEST RESULTS UPON ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE. FIVE OF SIX SERVICE CALLS THE WATER WAS "0" SOFT UPON ARRIVAL. CUSTOMER STATES THAT THEY GOT A BRAND NEW SET OF POTS & PANS FROM ONE OF OUR VENDORS & I THINK THAT IS FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THEM. DAYSTAR PRIDES ITSELF ON CUSTOMER SERVICE & HAS RECEIVED NUMEROUS FACTROY AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE HAVE NEVER REFUSED TO TEST ANY CUSTOMERS WATER AT THEIR REQUEST & WILL BE HAPPY TO DO SO ANYTIME.
