Phil always does a wonderful job. Courteous, efficient, professional. I’ve been using Phil for servicing my system for 17 years. But don’t hire his nephew Ritchie for landscaping. Phil recommend his nephew for sod install and his nephew butchered the install of new Sod. Ritchie blames me! See photos below. They are next day photo of install. Be warned. His nephew is inexperienced, a liar, disrespectful and defensive. I paid his nephew $1900.00 for my front lawn. I was ripped off. I won’t be hiring Phil due to the fact he recommends his nephew and won’t tell him to fix the lousy job his nephew did. If I find out Ritchie’s address I will take him to small claims court and report him to the BBB.

Phil works fast. He is experienced and proficient. I found him to be a consumate professional and always pleasant to deal with. I would give him my highest recommendation. Next time, however, I would request an estimate of the whole job before having him began the work. I strongly feel, that like the majority of other tradesmen, his service call fee should be dropped if he accepts the job. Just my 2 cents on that subject.

Mr. Phillips is very knowledgeable. He understood the problem quickly, explained it clearly, and had a new motor installed by suppertime. We pretty much expected that the motor was shot, but it was nice that he explained why it was best to get a new one. Very courteous and pleasant. Reasonable price. I would definitely call him again for well pump problems, and I will recommend him to my neighbors.

He is always above and beyond helpful. Phil was very honest and my brother-in-law was very impressed. He went as far as giving me a list of things that I need to mention a painter. He let me know all the definite steps of a good paint job for the problem that I have. He's not even a painter! Phil recommended a painter that he trusts.

Way overcharged for service. Converted well water to city water and placed valves that were separated into localized area.

This is the second time that I have used them. My lawn people told me that I had some dry spots, so he came out and was able to change some things to fix it. He only does what seems to need to be done. He explains everything very well, without getting annoyed at my questions, and is very reasonably priced.

Phil is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He has been my sprinkler guy for 15 years and always gets the work done when he says and I never have to call him back for mistakes. He charges the bare minimum and always goes above and beyond. He has even done extra things that he noticed needed to get done and didn't charge for it. One of the few honest guys left.

Came home from a month long vacation and when I turned on the sprinkler system and hoses no water rose up from my well.
Waited til after a severe rainstorm and tried again thinking maybe it had been drought weather while we were gone and the water
in the well was too low. Tried a 2nd time and that did not solve the problem. The pump switched on, we could hear it running,
but no water was flowing. I called Phillips Sprinklers having found an ad in the Suncoast News. He offered a $30 Service Call to check out Well and Pump. He arrived on time and went right to work.
He checked out each step to find out what the cause might be. Started with electrical switch, pump, and well, itself. Primed the pump and then checked various problem areas, eliminating them one at a time. He told my husband and I each and every step of the way what he was doing and what to expect. He would say and quot;this is what should happen if this part is working correctlyand quot; and then we'd stand back and wait to see if it was. He did this several times until the pump was primed and running again. However, the pressure was not as high as he believed it should be so went further to discover the reason for that issue. Finally determined it was a check valve that needed replacement. He though we might get a little more time out of the one that was currently installed, but then again, it could cause the same problem and need to be primed once again.
I asked what it would cost to replace the valve. He thought about it for a few moments and told me $85.... That would be in addition to the $30 service call. I was totaling it up in my head when he smiled and said and quot;That comes to $120and quot;. I had to smile myself, because my brain just wasn't doing the numbers out in the hot sun. We agreed to have it done and when my husband brought in the bill for me to write the check it was for $145. I was a little taken back because he had told me $120. The difference in price was for the actual cost of the valve. I don't think that was too much for the part, just thought it should have been included in his original quote.
Mr. Phillips is very knowledeable and seems to be just an all around nice guy. He could have told us the pump needed replacement or the well needed to be redrilled. We would have had nothing else to go on and would have been and quot;up the creek without a paddleand quot; as we just had to have our entire roof replaced 3 months ago along with a new water heater, plumbing, and AC issues. I liked that Mr. Phillips went step by step checking out all possibilities until he found the one that solved our problem. He did his best to help and quot;babyand quot;
our system along for us as we are hoping to get another year or two out of this one. We are in our 70's, like so many in FL, and living on our Social Security income only.
Not for one minute did we ever feel pressured or gouged. I give him high marks for technical ability. Also feel he is trustworthy
and sincere. I'm happy to introduce him to Angies List with high marks.
