Mel's Painting

Mel does an ok job as long as you do not need any doors painted. The first time he painted the door he did not sand or clean - the door was bumpy and had many missing spots. He did come back and try again - this time he sanded some areas but not all. There are still some lumpy areas, but that is not the worst part of the door. He removed my door handle and did not put it back on properly. He said he would come back and fix it when he came back to remove all of the paint on the glass. He never showed up again. I had to replace the $150 door handle and scrape all of the paint off of the glass myself. The pictures are AFTER he 'fixed' it.

Overall it went ok. I feel that they did not coat the walls with enough layers. And there's paint overspray on the electrical outlet covers. The ceiling had paint overspray but they tried to touch it up with white paint that does not match with the ceiling white paint so it's noticible. They did not patch up the nail holes very well even though they said they were going to patch it up. It's still noticible with paint over the nail holes.

He is just a hard-working man who does what he promises and that's hard to find these days! We love his work and will continue to use him for years to come.

He is punctual.  He never leaves a mess.  The prices are incredible and he does fantastic work.  I have used him six or seven times and refer him to all my friends.
