KAUFFMAN TIRE

This is my third interaction with this shop.  I initially bought just two tires for my 2008 Jeep Commander.  They beat everyone's price on name brand tires from Landsbrook to Land o Lakes.  Then, I took my Jeep in for a tuneup, oil change, wipers and to address an engine light that was on.  Again, the price was more than fair!  Today, i took the Jeep in for an engine light and within 15 minutes it was fixed and I was on my way.
The staff is professional, kind and highly motivated.  You feel like you have known them for years!  The waiting area is clean and the coffee is free. The prices are fair and honest, in fact they are downright affordable..... and in Florida that is really, really hard to find!  Highly recommend you give this shop a try. Thanks Kauffman Tire!!

They were unable to locate a leak on one of my car's tires.

Technician suggested that perhaps someone purposely let the air out of the tire. He added air to the tire, and sent me on my way. I refilled the tire with air elsewhere on Fri. 7/17 and noticed it was going flat again on Sun. 7/19.

Because Kauffman is closed on Sundays, I took the car to a competitor, where they were able to locate the source of the leak (a screw puncture) by removing the tire from the rim, and repaired the tire in under 30 minutes.

The tire man found a roofing nail in the right front tire. The sales manager said that the position of the nail made the tire unrepairable and suggested that I buy a new one. Since the original tires had only 28,000 miles on them and were warrented for 50,000, he suggest I get a less expensive 30,000 mile tire and then take advantage, when well worn at 50,000+, of a 4-tire deal which would save more money in the future. Thus, I would save money now and in the future. He mentioned that they had other auto services but did not press me on any others which is a good business.

July 11th, 2014, Got up and car would not start. Determined that battery was bad. Borrowed neighbors charger and car started after 20 minute charge. I took the car to Kauffman Tire on Little Road New Port Richey, Florida for a new battery. I walked in the Service rep (I did not get his name) asked me if I had been there before. I replied that yes early 2009 I had bought the battery there. He asked me for my phone number which I could not recall because it had changed. Anyway he went out and took my vehicle information and came in and to my surprise after looking me up in his computer he said your battery is under warranty for free replacement after 5yrs and 3months use. Wow 150 bucks saved. I told him about a very slow leak in front tire. Kauffman fixed it for free. My total bill was 10 bucks for labor to change out the battery. Very pleasant reps and free coffee and soda. Who would go anywhere else.

Good Price and Service

Good. They had problems getting the tire pressure sensors to work correctly, but were very responsive.

There was one time when one of my tires had a nail in so I went to a company around 3 times and they didn't find it. So I went to Kauffman Tires and they found the nail in 5 minutes. Overall they have been great.
