Gateway Design provided a contract to remodel a bathroom. I gave him $2000.00 down. Partly through the job, the worker refused to do anymore work since he was the licensed contractor and not Gateway and he wanted more money and a contract between his company Jason Rayburn Construction and myself along with additional $1000.00. Since my bathroom was all ripped out I felt I had to comply to get the work done. I signed another contract and gave more money. The work was done by Jason and another person a couple hours here and there and done poorly. The wallpaper was not put up properly and I was told it was due to bad wallpaper. I called the company I got the paper from and found out that the wall paper was not being put up as per the instructions of the repeat and drop so that was why it did not match up and looked so bad along with the seams not coming together. The tile on the floor had large cuts to go around the door trim instead of pulling trim off and doing properly. The drain for the tub was moved to the wrong place because Gateway told the plumber to do that way and then the plumber had me pay him more money to correct and to this day it is still not corrected. To this day I have no bathroom that is functional. The window was replaced and the exterior NEW STUCCO and PAINT was all ripped out and not repaired. I kept calling the contractor to finish but he would not do anymore because out of all the money I gave Gateway Design, he only got $600.00 from Gateway and could no longer continue the job with no payment. I still do not understand why the part of the job he did was so poor. Bottom line is that I was out $3,000.00 and had part of the job done and done really badly and then the real contractor just stopped for no payment from Gateway Design.

Very badly and caused me the loss of money and in a small battle with the real contractors.
Description of Work: This person is not licensed but portrays himself as the main guy for the work I needed. I paid him a deposit on a contract he wrote to remodel my bathroom. He sent the workers in and they started the job, did it terrible. Floor tile was put down like a blind man did it. The wall paper was hung like a two year old did it and then tried to tell me and the wall paper store that is was the wall paper. He sent the plumber in to do plumbing for the claw foot tub and had the drain ran on the wrong side of the tub. Tried to say it was the right way. I found out he was not the actual contractor and was not paying the contractor. Let alone the contractor he hired did a really bad job and then when I would not give him more money he would not fix the bad work or continue the work that I already paid for. I had the entire bathroom ripped out again so I can not put photos of the mess on here. He did give me back some of the money but basically I have to start all over again and I am out the costs of the materials I purchased that had to be ripped out. In the meantime before I realized that he was not a contractor and authorized to do the contracts etc, he did up a contract for my kitchen remodel and then the real contractor came to me and said the contract has to be from him and the price was another $4000.00 plus. I was in a bind with time now that I had no bathroom and no kitchen ( both ripped out) and had 13 people coming for a big family party. I went with the real kitchen contractor and so far a livid nightmare and sloppy bad work. I am now working with the kitchen contractor and hoping it gets fixed. Will write report on that as soon as we are done. Bottom line NO BATHROOM OUT MONEY COST OF KITCHEN LOT HIGHER AND WORK IS NOT GOOD SO FAR. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING>
