Ms [Member Name Removed], I would like to apologize for the miscommunication we must have had in regards to the service provided. Our natural service for ant control consists [Member Information Removed] the use [Member Information Removed] baits and dusts. The attic is treated with an electric power duster. Our trained and experienced technicians only need to treat from one access because this equipment forces the product throughout the entire attic. This ensures complete coverage [Member Information Removed] the area. While an attic treatment does protect from future infestations, its treatment does not control all existing ant infestations because the ants can reside under insulation and other areas unreachable by a topical application. This is why we employ a baiting program. Baits are placed where the ants forage so they will feed and return the product to the nest killing it from within. Complete ant eradication, by baiting, is a slow process but is also a long-term solution. In addition, baits are also a safer alternative to traditional pest control sprays. Control takes an average [Member Information Removed] five months, as stated in the contract signed during the initial treatment and subsequent service tickets provided during each visit. While we do offer an effective and safer solution to pest control, this style [Member Information Removed] treatment is not for everyone.Service Provider Response
Just like fumigation, once our service has been rendered, new occurrences of drywood termites may avail themselves at any time. The infestation may reappear in a previously treated area. A reoccurrence of an active termite colony does not mean that our technicians missed the termites. Instead, it means that new termites have entered the property, since there are no preventative treatments available for drywood termites. As long as the warranty is in effect with us, we will render all follow-up services at no additional charge. Most structures need only one application per year, some buildings require follow-up treatments as the termites re-enter the structure. New termite infestations may arise days, weeks or months after service had been provided. I do understand the frustration of the termites returning to a structure that has been treated. As I had mentioned, that is the nature of drywood termites. They may return at any time. If an infestation re-avails itself on the outside of the structure, we can provide that treatment without anyone being at home. However, should the termites re-infest the inside of the structure, tan inside appointment is needed in order to treat the colonies.Service Provider Response
