"American Landmark Fence is committed to honesty and excellence. It is our custom to come to the job site to deliver a free and honest estimate based on the footage of the project, contour of the land and if any removal is needed of old fencing. We guarantee we are not out to squeeze anything out of our customers."
"This customer signed a completion form that they were satisfied and would recommend our company. We had no complaints during the entire process."
I received prices from 2 fence companies. American Landmark was $1,600 lower than the competitor.
In retrospect I should have questioned such a disparity in price.
Since then I have had the opportunity to look at several other vinyl fence installations and found a significant disparity in the gauge or the thickness of the vinyl of my fence compared to others. The others were much thicker. I should have taken my cue when Steve told me that a weedeater could puncture my fence.
I am at fault for not exercising enough due diligence to inquire about differences in vinyl thickness.
If I had been informed by American Landmark of these differences in thickness I could have made a more informed decision.
I was not so informed by American Landmark(or to be honest neither did the other contractor).
Do your homework!
"This customer signed an acknowledged receipt of goods and job completion form that states: "That the undersigned hereby acknowledges receipt and delivery of the goods described on the annexed contract or invoice and further acknowledges that said goods and any performed installation have been inspected and approve to my satisfaction." This was dated and signed by customer leaving this review. Our contracts clearly state that American Landmark will not be liable for any damage to sprinkler lines and the Customer is responsible for establishing property lines. In fact it states this on both the front and back of the contract. It goes on to state that No changes in measurements, locations of lines or conditions will be allowed, except at prices mutually agreed upon. Purchaser must obtain licenses, planning permission approvals and permits where such licenses, approvals and permits are required. If this customer would have read her contract, she would be aware that her complaints are invalid. It is standard in the industry to collect a deposit to cover the materials; all fences are not built the same and therefore require special installation. If the customers fail to pay the balance due upon completion, at least the contractor has been able to cover the wholesalers. We are not sure why this customer feels their need to call decent people rude and fabricate her experience. As always we stand committed to excellence in the fence industry and encourage all customers to completely read all proposals and contracts."
"We always have our customers sign a completion form indicating that are satisfied and this customer did indeed sign that form. Any issues that the customer had concerns with were addressed and the customer paid the balance due in full."
I only wanted a portion of my yard fenced and I had specific criteria for it. Most fence companies I contacted provided an estimate from the details I gave them over the phone. American Landmark was the only one that asked to come out and view the area, explain the process, and show me samples of the styles of fence available. They were also the only company that followed up to see if I had additional questions. They made me feel like they valued my business. They did a great Job, and I have had several compliments from neighbors on how nice it looks.
