Donald was very thorough and professional. Told us that the filter was blocked and after pumping cleaned the tanks with water. Left the lawn in great condition. Also told us to use copper sulfate twice a year and how to apply for the drain-field. Very impressed and told our new neighbor to use this service. Will use again and recommend to anyone.

Tried to contact another company first. They were listed as a 24-hour Emergency service. My call went straight to a full voice-mail box and when I sent an e-mail, the reply stated that I would receive a response in 48-72 hours!! Thankfully I didn't have a full-blown emergency.
I then called Rick Ferrell's number and got a real person on my first try. I asked for a Friday appointment because it was already a Monday. The lady offered me a next-day service call because the man would be in my area. I gladly accepted. She told me an approximate time frame because I had to leave for the airport in the late morning. No problem.
Chris arrived as expected. Showed him the area and left him to his work. An hour or so later he let me know he was finished. We talked about what problems we could expect in the future because of the age of the drain-field. He gave me an approximate price. He was very personable and polite.
The price was as quoted and it was $10 less because I was an Angie's List customer.
Would not hesitate to call them again, or recommend them to my neighbors.

The day before I had a large tree removed from front yard. During the process a small but very deep hole was discovered. It appeared as if the septic tank was collapsing.
Called that morning and was told that they were busy but could respond that afternoon. The service person, Chris, called at 1000 am and advised that he was between jobs and could respond. Chris arrived and diagnosed the issue which was a damaged fiberglass lid covering septic tank. Chris explained that this tank was fiberglass not concrete. Chris pumped the tank and later returned with a new lid. Chris was very professional. I will defiantly use the company again. Thanks for the great service.

Awesome company to deal with. Very courteous, thorough, honest and fair. We had two other companies out here prior including the home purchase and once after. Wish we knew about Ferrell's sooner. They scheduled our pump out promptly. driver arrived as expected. Was very thorough- respected my wife and spoke with her as if she had a brain. no talking down or pretending like she would not understand. Answered all questions, did a real nice job with the cap dig and recover. Chris (driver) was also conscientious to ask about the fresh concrete.. And how we wanted him to get the hose where it needs to go. Best service, best price yet. We will not go with another company again, no reason to. Highly recommend this company for great customer focus and service.

Chris arrived exactly as promised, he was very polite and fully explained what he would do. He then located the tank, and correctly determined where the pump and other tanks should be in relationship to the septic tank. He found the pump was burned out, and was able to replace it right on the spot.
I decided to have them come back and install risers on all three tanks in order to eliminate digging up in the future. He returned in a timely manner and did a good job of that, too.
When I was selecting a company to do this, at first I was concerned about this company's "F" rated review of 2/20/2015. It was clear to me that the owner didn't understand, or didn't care to understand, that if a tank was pumped out when way too wet the tank could rip out of the ground, it would act like a boat. The staff at Rick Ferrell's really seem to know what they are doing.
I have full confidence in Chris and Rick Ferrell's Certified Septic Tank Service and would certainly use them again.

I called and asked if they service Dunedin and specifically asked for an estimate for repairs. Chris showed up and expected to pump the tank right away. I told him I needed an estimate for repairs and recommendations as this is a new home for us and I never had a septic system. He looked around, called his boss and they decided that they can't do the job. He may have spent 30 to 45 minutes, possibly longer. I had to leave to go to work before he left (he showed up about 30 minutes after the time window, but no big deal). The secretary called later left me a message to call her for payment. I paid $125. I was told that they weren't comfortable pumping the tank out of concern for pop up. Despite telling that they provide full septic system service and replacement when I scheduled for the estimate, the secretary told me that Rick doesn't feel comfortable doing the job. Then she said she said he is booked for the next 6 weeks in Pasco and he basically won't be interested in a job so far away. Never got a written estimate. Basically paid $125 to be told that they can't hand my job and they're not interested in the hassle it entails. Amazing how this company is A rated in it's category.

"This is Sharon Ferrell who took [member name removed]'s call. In response to his review, He called to see how much to pump out septic and check it over to see if there was any thing wrong, as he is new to having a septic system. I gave him a price of $225.00 and he agreed. I sent my Technician Chris out. When Chris got there he opened the septic tank and lift station and found everything was full. He then powered on to the lift station and cycled the pumps, which worked properly, in the process found the tank to be very deep and the ground saturated. At that time he told [member name removed] he did not feel comfortable pumping the septic tank in fear that it could cause damage in the process due to the saturated ground. It's been our policy and still is our policy not to pump the septic tank if we feel the there could be damage done to the tank in the process. We are looking out for the home owners best interest. In this case we did go out and preform a service and evaluated the system and explained to [member name removed], who left before the evaluation was complete. At that time Chris called the office and I told him to finish the evaluation and put everything back as he found it. A that time I called [member name removed] to tell him that since we could not pump the tank, that we would not charge the $225.00 but a charge of our normal service charge fee of $125.00 would be due."

All the work went as planned. It was completed in a timely manner and the men were very professional. There was a small glitch about the time the fields were done, but that was reconciled and job was completed. It has been a year since drain fields are in and so far so good. They seem to be working as they should.

Rick's worker arrived as scheduled and went directly to work. He pumped out the tank quickly and gave us advice on how to avoid more frequent services. Once he finished pumping the tank, he returned our lawn to the same condition as when he arrived. It looked like he hadn't disturbed the area at all! He was very friendly and took time to explain what he was doing.

Chris showed up around 10, found the spot, dug up the grass gently, all the while answering any questions I had. He then proceeded to pump out the tank, which surprisingly didn't smell all that bad. He showed me where the leach field is and where the tank were located (surprise!) that my husband inadvertently parked on a couple of times (ouch), and he advised against doing that in the future. After that, he very carefully replaced the soil and grass, once it rains you won't be able to see where it was dug up. Chris was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. You can bet I will be calling this company again for any septic needs. A+!

I called in the evening to request service and was scheduled for the next day. He called before he came as I requested and showed up at the time specified. Good service. Pleasant and courteous worker.
