As usual, the intial stages were chaotic, more movers than us.  Careful instructions were given.
Packing tape was available, and plastic wrap, but he movers used their own and charged us for the extra tape.  They also wanted to use the tape in lieu of the large rolls of plastic wrap.

First class service from Amanda to discuss their service and pricing.  Amanda called us the day prior to our move to confirm all the details for the following day.  The movers arrived early and promptly got to work.  The team started at 8:30 and wrapped up at 5:30.  This was a local move and they met every expectation.  The movers went above and beyond to make sure they handled our furniture with care and were very careful with placing our furniture in our new home.

They are good. 

Have had 2 bad moves with this company. Will never use them again. They overcharged me in both instances on the time (time is how they are paid). If I hadn't reviewed the addition very carefully on the driver's ledger, I would have missed it both times. The driver/foreman also gives you a survey card and INSISTS you fill it out and give it back to him before he departs-without any type of anonymity. Also, I tipped all the movers--$40 each--total of $120. I thought this was considerably generous but the foreman suggested he was underpaid by the the company and my tip was insufficient! All of this would have probably been okay except the management was ridiculous about refunding my overcharge. At first, they argued that it was my miscalculation, then, one week later, called and agreed they had made an error. They offered to credit me on my next move or give me a gift certificate to a sandwich shop instead of granting a refund! When I went to pick up the refund check an employee (the owner's wife I later learned) chased and heckled me all the way out into the parking lot. I am not kidding or exaggerating about this.

Joe, the manager, gave us an estimate of $298.00 for 3 hours plus $49 per 1/2 hour after the 3 hour minimum. Then he was nice enough to include a 5% military discount. We agreed since he also said the fuel cost is included. They loaded our furniture and boxes (that we packed) then drove them to our new location. Then after arriving at our new location they delivered our items. Then came the bill. They charged us for 4 1/4 hours of work when they only worked 3 1/4 hours. They did not mention that they charge 1/2 hour travel time to the job (your home) then another 1/2 from the job. They said to look at the documents you signed and sure enough, in small print, it says "The shipper understands there is a 3 hour minimum of $298.00 which may include a local fuel fee** and at least one hour for travel (minimum 1/2 hr each way**)." To us that meant the one hour of travel was already included in the price not added to. They also charged us for the fuel after telling us it was included.
