We are family owned and operated and service the entire metro Jacksonville area and up to 50 miles into the outer counties. We pride ourselves on working with our clientele and providing them with a match or beat any competitor's written estimate and guarantee that we will honor it. We are licensed & insured to cover both the client's property and our workers. We have a very low $45 service call that includes a free written estimate for you or your insurance company. Unfortunately we have to charge this low fee to cover the gas for the trip charge and in today's world our clients are suprised it is that low as you might already know from checking with other companies. "Customer celled us out to look at their door. Upon inspection my tech found that the door had the incorrect spring on it that was installed by a different company which is the reason why the opener would not work. After we put on the new spring and got the door balanced properly we connected the door to the opener. The opener was not acting right but did work. The opener had been opening and closing the door for years with the wrong spring on it causing damage to the opener. We could not assess the opener until we had the door working correctly. Customer called days later stating the opener would not work at all and we explained that the damage was caused from the years of operating it with the wrong spring. They were told the only thing we could do is replace the opener and they did not want that. They wanted us to fix/repair for free but that is not what they paid us to do."

They contacted us the next day.
Quoted and price and came out right away to repair it.
$300.00 for first repair which was not needed. Original service call was to replace logic board on door opener, not replace springs.
Today charged $50.00. Technician was here 5 minutes, said was problem was normal, even though I did not have this problem prior to the original repair.
"I would like to express my apologizes for your experience with A1A. The original service call was placed on 3/20. The technician was the owner who expressed to me that the springs were not in good working order and it was suggested that you replace them to avoid being trapped when one of them did break. The springs were replaced under approval from you. The second service call was placed on 6/8 where I sent a technician out to check on issue that you said was occurring with door. He stated the door was in good working order and just charged you the service call for the visit. Please make us aware if any further problems occur and I can send someone out free of charge.
