We had invested a lot of money in re-soding most of our lawn after having a pool installed. We hired Father and Sons to lay fertilizer and weed killer/preventor to ensure our investment was properly maintained and to control weeds in the existing lawn as they came highly recommended. Initially, things seemed to go well as the weeds (mostly dollar weeds) in the existing lawn were killed off. However, after a few months, it seemed the application was no longer affective as I now have a large number of weeds springing up. I spent quite a while pulling weeds which is not how I want to spend my day. Their service turned out to be inadequate and their customer service is very poor. I would not recommend them at all. There are many other companies out there. Give someone else a try. I have attached an image to demonstrate my complaint. I circled a few of the areas, but you can see in the image many other examples of inadequate treatment. There are many weeds and brown patches in my lawn. This is after months of treatment.

My wife and I have been Pensacola residents for eight years and believe very strongly in supporting our local business and community.  It saddens us to have to negatively review Father and Son Landscape.  However, we feel a responsibility to give fare warning to other local consumers.  We live in Gulf Breeze and have employed Father and Son Landscape and proprietor Skip Orth for 2-years to landscape and maintain our .78 acre property.  After two years and $10,000 my property is FAR worse off
then when we started and Skip is unwilling to take any financial responsibility other than $250 and replace my now dirt/mud front yard with Jasmine at the cost of $900.
 My wife and I decided to go with Skip and Father and Son Landscaping as we are both active duty military members and Skips trustworthy nature and relationship with his active duty son resonated with us.  Unfortunately, the poor advice and
workmanship speaks for itself.  We originally spent approximately $3000 based on Skip?s recommendations to re-sod
our property and adjust an already present irrigation system.  Within the first two months the new sod was dying quickly.  Per Skip's
recommendation we actually increased our business ($200/month to $250/month) with his company to include an up charge for year long fertilization and lawn pest control to remedy the quickly deteriorating landscape. 
 The final straw? his subcontracted yard crew tears yard up and laughs!  As a final effort to make things right Skip attempted to relay new sod along sidewalk at no cost.  Unfortunately, he just laid the new sod directly ON TOP of the preexisting, half dead sod already there with no soil.  My sidewalk grass looked like a layer cake of sod and was twice as high as the rest of the neighbors.  Then when his guys came to mow the new sod, only in place one week, they scalped a ten-foot section down to the dirt, and kept right on driving through the front yard tearing up more terrain with tire tracks.  As I came around the corner his crew was actually laughing about the mistake.  I threw his crew off our property and began negations with Skip for reimbursement.
Throughout the past two years we made multiple calls and complaints due to insect infestations and poor yard care quality by his crew to no avail.  We continually enlisted Skip?s advice as our yard continued to deteriorate.  Most of our property now is sand/dirt, roots, and weeds.  For the work he has done and the fact that we feel partly responsible we asked to be reimbursed $2500 to
return the property to it?s original condition.  We would assume the reaming $7500 spent was a lesson learned on our part.  Skip has only returned the last month service $250 and offered to do more work.  Thanks, but no thanks!
Skip Orth and Father and Son Landscaping has woefully underperformed due to lack of expertise, hired irresponsible yard crew that has damaged property, and is unwilling to take all but token responsibility for his horrendous work.  To be clear on the ratings above, Skip was never rude or unprofessional in his demeanor.  We have rated his professionalism based on his lack of standing behind his work.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They have done a great job.  They charge monthly fees, but we can choose.  The price varies on what we order.  They are always on time.  They are excellent.  If we have any questions, they come right back with the answer.  They are a very good company.

I found everyone involved to be courteous and accommodating.  The job was completed in a timely manner, and has accomplished what it was intended to do.

They were working for a property owner in our HOA, they stuck their dull3y truck on off one or our roads, made a big mess getting it out, then took dirt from the stuck mess with the promise of bringing in dirt to fix it all.  They never came back to fix the mess and ended up taking one of our property owners jack with them.

I pay them $300 per month. I have about three quarters of an acre on the water so it is quite a bit of work. They are supposed to come out every Wednesday, but some time it slips to Thursday or Friday; probably due to the weather or something like that. I will continue to use them.
