Exquisite Kitchen and Bath

The owner of the company, Toni Gentry, told us the project would take from 4-8 weeks, the project took about 16-18 weeks and still was not finished. The first check was given at the end of January 2012, the project did not start until the middle of March 2012. He would not return phone calls and his team would not show up work work daily; sometimes they would work for two to three days in a week, sometimes a whole week would go by and no one would show up, we would not even receive a courtesy call to let us know why they were not coming to work. The quality of their work is poor. Once the new floors were laid down, we noted many cracks in between the wood pieces, we had other rooms in the floor done by Lumbar Liquidators and their quality of work is superb, what we got from Toni Gentry's team was ok, not the best. The tile work for the back splash was done poorly. The counter tops are beautiful and the person who cut them did a great job, once the put the new counter top on top of the new sick, they did not seal the area where the metal joins the countertop, though they said they would do it. There is an electric outlet that was left behind one of the cabinets, though we asked for them to move it up to a precise location. We gave Toni a specific tile pattern that we would like to see for the back splash, he ordered the same colors but a different pattern, and he did not even notice the difference until we pointed it out. The cabinet for the trash was supposed to have a soft close devise, like the rest of the cabinets in the kitchen, he put one which did not work, he took it out and put a temporary one which was not a soft close device,  he never returned to replace it with the original soft close device.  Toni promised he would give us a great kitchen, he left us with a constant reminder of what a nightmare this project turned out to be. The project was not finished, yet Toni seemed not interested in finishing the project and he was taking tooooo long to complete it, we decided to give him his last check and just let him go, we were too disappointed and we were tired of dealing with his incompetence. Now, we are very apprehensive about contractors and we are finding it hard to trust contracted work. We are looking to hire a new group to come to our house and finish the project Toni Gentry did not.
