I didn't think this would be a major job because:  1) the house was newly constructed and had a centralized control panel for cable and networking; 2) the access to the attic is easy and roomy -- the drop would be on an inside wall; 3) VITEX completed the initial installation of all the cabling in the house and was familiar with the house design/layout because of work they do for Pulte Homes.  The tech that was sent to the house was nice, but seemed to be overwhelmed by the job.  There is a major "pipe" that runs from the control box to the attic; the major issue would be to fish the wire down an inside wall.  The tech was up and down the ladder several times; finally he got the cable strung through the attic.  I then heard him drilling from the attic down through the wall.  There are metal studs in the wall AS WITH MOST OF THE NEW HOMES THAT VITEX SERVICES.  The time kept going by and the job took THREE HOURS.  (I wished that I had taken care of it myself.)
When the job was "finished," the tech told me he had a problem and couldn't snake the wire down the wall.  He ended up leaving a  cable connection outlet just below the ceiling line.  Thankfully, we were having the drop placed in a closet.  The tech said that there were "fire stops" that he could not get through to put the outlet in the "normal" place.  WHAT A MESS!!
Cost broke down to $99 for the 1st 1/2 hour and $120 for each add'l hour/fraction.

They showed up on time, but some techs are not well trained/qualified, finally after the 5th time I got someone who was well trained.  Their billing was poor, but they did allow us out of the agreement.
