Due to plumbing issues I found out that there was black mold growing in my walls and a house with a sick elderly and 3 kids ages 4, 2, and 1 month old no parent wants to hear those scary words. This company was amazing from the phone call to the home visit. I made a phone call to the company after hours to see if I could make an appointment for a representative to come and give an estimate and evaluate how bad the situation really was, I was told that I would get a phone call back to let me know when someone can come out and check the house. I thought ok its after hours so someone will call in the morning, not knowing that they have 24 hour emergency service, not even 10 minutes later I received a phone call from united water restoration group asking if it was ok for them to come to the house and see what was going on, the representative Dennis assured me that there was no cost what so ever for him to come to the house and check out the bathroom. I was very impressed and amazed how serious this company takes there job and to my surprise I got trouble news. The black mold was growing and the situation was worst then anyone thought, Dennis explained the whole situation and walked me through the whole inspection explaining what he was doing and what the lights and numbers meant. All I could think was how expensive this was going to be and how in the world was I going to pay for this that had to get done. Dennis gave me a price and explained that there were payment options and I was so happy to hear that and although the price seemed great, for a single parent and household of 6 and one income I couldn't mange to afford it, the situation being what it was and the damage being so bad and dangerous to the household Dennis asked me to hold on and he was going to call his boss and see if they can work out anything. Dennis came back in with his partner to talk price, he explained the situation to his boss and his boss said to tell us to not worry, that the job was going to get done and it was going to be FREE!!!! I couldn't believe it, I wanted to cry of excitement, we are truly grateful for United water restoration group, Inc. for this amazing gift, that same night they installed a drying unit to start drying the mold. This company has caring, friendly and well experienced technicians and I would recommend them to anyone who needs damage repairs done right.

Repairing the mold and water damage went well. The problem centered on what it would take to put things together again. I wanted to put the kitchen back the way it was. United water wanted to paint six contiguous walls, sand the hardwood floors in the kitchen and family room and replace all of the granite in the kitchen and family rooms.  The insurance company gave me $3,700 to make the repairs. United Water Restoration wanted over $15,000. I couldn't get them (UWR) to agree to repair only the kitchen. I hired another company to repair the kitchen for just over $4,000. I was very satisfied with the results. Do: wait for the insurance company to provide an estimate for repairs. Don't: sign a contract until you have all of the data necessary to make a reasonable conclusion.
