We bought an older home in Naples with Hunter Douglas blinds throughout. We have no idea when the blinds were purchased and installed. When the cord broke in one of the sliding glass door blinds (8' x 7'), I was not looking forward to ordering a replacement due to cost, age of existing blinds and color-matching.
We called several large Hunter Douglas authorized dealers in the Naples area (small shops and large furnishing stores). Most gave us the brush-off and said we would have to call a consultant out to measure and order a replacement. When we came into Shady Lady, the staff was helpful, friendly and gracious - what a nice surprise! They listened to our problem and proposed an immediate solution. The next day, they called and informed us that they contacted Hunter Douglas to research their lifetime warranty and to see if we would be eligible.
They immediately processed the paperwork and assisted us in having our blinds replaced at the most minimal cost. I've never bought a Hunter Douglas set of blinds, and I imagine a new set would start at $1200. Given that our total cost of replacement and install came in UNDER $150, I am supremely and pleasantly surprised.
Shady Lady went out of their way to help us save money. They are professional, knowledgeable and scrupulous. I highly recommend them.

Attempted to get curtain repaired to no avail. Contacted Chris at Shady Lady and the same day the curtain problem was solved. Very capable and polite service staff. VERY HAPPY with work and price. Clearly a top company which I highly recommend.

Probably the best experience with a service company ever! Doug arrived exactly at the time of the confirmation. He was exceptionally pleasant, professional and courteous. I had purchased the shades on-line ( this company does have window treatments but I never knew until I had ordered these online and he knew exactly how to mount them. He offered an additional possible way of mounting, if I was interested. He finished in a timely manner and then repaired the vertical blinds on the slider. It's nice to see someone who enjoys his work and takes pride in doing a good job.

Daniel, the technician is extremely knowledgeable and diligent about his work.  My blinds operate like new again.

They add a $85 travel charge which is not credited towards work performed.

From first phone call to repair this company is great! They fixed my shade while I waited. Customer service is great! Highly recommend!

What a find. A big honey comb shade in our master would no longer function because the strings inside had snapped. A new one was about $500-600, so we searched for someone who could repair it. We found Shady Lady and called. They had a person who does such repairs and gave us a quote of $45.00. We took the blind in (they would have come and taken it down for an extra charge) and were delighted that it was repaired in 4 days even though they said it could take up to 10 days. the price was exactly as quoted. Now it works perfectly again.

The representative was quick to pick up on the style and quality of fabric my mother wanted. She came to the house several times to work out the details and followed up within a few days on every visit. My mother was pleased and confident with the process and the choice she made.

I can't thank Shady Lady enough for coming to our rescue. We have Hunter Douglas accordion shades that are over 10yrs old .This morning while opening the shade the pull cord snapped. I didn't know what to do. I took it apart to see if I could tie the two pieces together. That wasn't going to work. I called Dand L window treatments. I had my drapes made by them They referred me to Shady Lady. They were wonderful. They said it was an easy fix and repaired it right then. I was so thankful. I thought it would be a big deal and have to be send away to the dealer. I would use them again for sure. They are very nice people to deal with. They also didn't charge me for the repair. A surprising gift.

Overall, everything turned out incredibility well. They were very aware of the time frame in which I needed them installed. They really took the time to make sure they got everything correct for this job. They were willing to negotiate on price. I would use this company again in the future.
