Owner quoted a price on the phone for steam cleaning. When he arrived he said we were "confused", actual price would be $100 more. He then claimed that the phone quote didn't include grout sealing which was extra. Proceeded to clean tile and grout. Just before he clompleted the job my husbnd noticed that he was not using steam to clean the tiles. He assured my husband that the finished job would be as good as steam cleaning. Finished cleaned grout did not look much different than before cleaning. He said we would like it when it was completely dry and to wait 24 hours before inspecting. He said he would return if we were not completely satisfied. I was not satisfied with the job, it continued to look the same after drying. We had company coming so I put the issue aside until I could readress the problem later. When my husband called on April 28 to ask him to return as we were not pleased with many areas, he refused and told us we must have gotten the grout dirty again and just wanted a free cleaning. After some argument he agreed to come back on May 6, 2011 between the hours of 10 to 12AM. He never showed up. I had grout and tile cleaning with sealer done on my other home last year of similar size. I paid 1/3 of what I was charged by Royal Steamer and the tile and grout in that home looks brand new. I expected the same result. My tile and grout in this house looks like it was never cleaned. I wasted $620 with Royal Steamer and feel this is not a reputable company. Don't waste your money.
