"This report/claim has been filed by an individual who was not our customer nor a resident of the home referenced. Hence is once removed from factual information. This cabinet installation was a Lowe's cabinet/installation purchase. I was hired as the contractor by Lowe's to perform the installation for the customer. The customer signed off on a document with Lowe's to save themselves money on the installation agreeing to properly prepare the walls for installation of the taller wall cabinets they were purchasing. The home had original 30" wall cabinets, the customers wanted to increase the new cabinets to 36" tall cabinets. It was the customer's responsibility to prepare the walls/studs for proper cabinet installation of the increased height cabinets. I have, within my records, a copy of the release signed by the customer stating such (Please see document named "Lowe's Cabinet Installation Agreement/Release"), signed by Lowe's customer, uploaded to our Angie's List company profile). The cabinets were installed properly and completely by my company as contracted by Lowe's. As Florida law requires my cabinet installation work is guaranteed for one year after installation. These cabinets were installed approximately 3 years ago and past warranty. We visited the property after the cabinets had reportedly "fallen" off the wall and it was determined no negligence in installation had taken place. It was never written nor said by my insurance adjuster that negligence played a roll in this installation. It was noted, however, that the cabinets did not fall down but moved horizontally across the room which - defies gravity. It was concluded that an unknown outside force had to have been involved with this incident. This incident was also filed with the Better Business Bureau by the customer and it was determined by them to be an invalid complaint. In our 22 years of kitchen remodeling experience there has never been a incident such as this with cabinets just falling of the wall after being up for nearly THREE years. We at Royal Constructors, take pride in the over 300 kitchen cabinet installations we have performed in Collier County alone since 2006."
